NO LONGER IN SERVICE
Got this app in its early stages. Loved the concept. The ice breaker questions are fun and interesting. Very small pool of people because the app is not popular. Eventually, app updates stopped happening. Ice breaker questions ran out. No new marketing from the team. No responses to customer service. No more social media presence. Obviously the app had been abandoned. It was fun while it lasted and had so much potential.

Pointless.
I haven’t had Lantern for long so I can’t speak on its affects/effects/efficiency in what it advertises. So far all I have done is answer dumb questions that don’t mean anything. That’s not the worst part though. The UI is very slow, when I chose and answer it took a long time for it to register so the next screen would open. Also, there were random videos in between some of the questions that sometimes made sense but only if you think about them really hard, I was just confused why they thought they were needed in the first place.
I haven’t used the app for it’s intended/marketing purpose yet, but I plan on it. I am curious. I will return to either update, make a new, or reply to this comment (I’m don’t know the future but I know the options).

Commonality along with differences is grounds for good, continued conversation…and continuation is key! I love the interesting questions asked by the app to find your match. I’m excited to see who I meet!
Great new idea for a dating app!
I matched with a people I am compatible with. Really like the answering the questions to get to know people on a deeper level.
Interminable questions, no people
Apparently the purpose of this app is to have users answer hundreds of inane questions, seemingly written by a robot, a robot completely devoid of wit (or perhaps this the cutting edge of robot wit, I don’t know) for hours on end, until they get tired of answering questions and go on and do something more productive.

It’s nice to find new ways to meet people and this app is truly unique :). There aren’t a bunch of matches in the area though because the app is new.

When do I start matching?
I’m very confused with this app. I answer all the questions, I pick the person, and I have no way of actually matching with anyone to talk to them.
I’ve reached the “end of my journey” when they say “we have no more questions come back tomorrow.” Yet, I still have no options to chat with anyone?
Please don’t tell me that you are required to have premium to chat only.

FINALLY something more than swiping
I’ve been looking for a dating app that digs deeper and connect you over things that are not just profile pictures and curated bios. Love the creative approach to online dating!!!

Love this new take on the dating app. It’s super easy to set up your profile. Only thing that could improve would an option to match w non-binary folks as well!
Personality matching is key!
I liked the questions on the app and am thinking they probably use AI to find matches that have same answers to the questions. Most dating apps it’s just based on pictures and I’ve been disappointed with other apps complete lack of care for personalities and interests. Will be curious where this app goes!

The death of “hey what’s up”
I love the concept that instead of just swiping left or right on someone’s looks, that you’re matched based on fun question prompts! Then, the question prompts are saved in the chat to start your conversation.

Really fun concept!
Matching with people based on a common answer gives you an ice breaker right away which makes starting a conversation super easy! It would be great to be able to choose categories for the questions (ie movies, politics, sports etc) in order to match with people with more specified shared interests. Definitely looking forward to trying it out!

I like the preliminary questions upon opening the app— I haven’t experienced that kind of intro before on other dating apps. New and intriguing! However, I found my interests not represented in the answer options.

I’ve used tons of dating apps but never have they been as insightful as this. I’ve used it a little bit, really excited to see what I find.

I was a bit confused at first, but once I got into it more I enjoyed the different set up than most dating apps. Gives you fun conversation starters other than the basic first date questions!

Really appreciated how different the intro was..unlike any other dating app experience I’ve had. i also liked the questions asked, not only are they uncommon and fun to answer, but they also tell you a lot about a person! looking forward to using :)
