Great when working
I’ve been using LapTracker for Scalextric racing, for a while now and it’s mostly good. Sometimes though the camera either sees nothing or records a time for both lanes even though only one car has passed. Adjusting the sensitivity doesn’t help. Another feature that would be great would be to choose different colours for different lanes. I have red and blue controllers - I’d love to colour the lane ids red and blue too.

You have to figure it out a bit at the start, but this app works great and detects the cars really easily. worth your money.

Good lap counter and timer for the price
I use this on my four lane 1/64 scale slot car layout. I use a cable from my IPad to on old computer monitor so everyone car see the screen. It is a little finicky but better than the expensive alternatives. I wish the screen would go landscape.

I’ve been using LapTracker for a while now, once used an speedometer when my motorcycle didn’t have one, and, now using it to count and track laps on my four lane HO scale slot car track.

Great for slot car racing
I am getting back into HO scale slot car racing after a 45year hiatus. I found some lap counter/timer systems that cost as much as $200 or more and use old technology. I’m glad I came across a YouTube video that suggested this app.
Great for slot car timing.
I got this app to try with a portable slot car track. I was a bit skeptical, but it actually works fantastic. My only gripe is that I wish it could display in landscape mode. Other than that I think it’s great.

Lap Tracker
Great tool for testing cars and running trials. Ran a few multi-lane events. Ghost and shadow counting occurs regularly. With and without the phone flashlight. Tried the LED light bead as well. Limited improvement. Like to be able to save and send data too. Features been inactive since I downloaded. Great app for the $$$$.

Works very well
Used as a slot car timer / lap counter. Just needed the addition of some small lights above the track to prevent sensing errors. Very pleases with it

Tested with Turbo Racing, Kyosho Mini-Z, and Losi Mini B. Works great. Tons of adjustability and settings. Voice call out works very well. Takes less than a minute to get it setup and running.

The app works flawless on an HO slot car track. This app has all the needed info to set it up properly to get it to work.

Okay, this app is just unbelievable for the price. So I just about bought a system for over $200 when I found this app. Yes, this app does exactly what I was wanting. I needed something to count laps and record lap time. This app delivers beyond my expectations, not only does it do said needs but it calls them out to me in real time. I currently use this for practicing laps with my RC cars and trucks, I like to run a set number of laps so I have it set for 20 laps to which the Lap Tracker will count and time the laps, call them out to me and sound a bell at the finish. I love that I can save and send the results by email, I later import them into a spreadsheet I developed that shows me all kinds of statistics from all the data collected. The app is so incredibly easy to setup and use, has no known bugs as I have not found anything. I do have two suggestions though... I see the developer has an app to capture speed “Speed Clock”, it would be cool to incorporate that, the other suggestion is that the app save a default email address for fast and ease of sending of results data. There is many other features this app has I have not used yet and I look forward to that soon, like racing against my friends.
