Turn completed material tests into a measured atlas you can revisit for every new sheet, blank, or batch.
Laser Test Atlas is a workshop record for what you actually tested. It organizes material, speed, power, frequency, outcome, rating, notes, and revision history in a matrix, turning past sample work into a usable local reference instead of a pile of unlabeled scraps.
Begin with a material entry describing the stock in front of you: name, source, thickness, finish, and any details that matter to your workshop. The app does not assume two products with the same label behave the same.
Create a test grid for the variables you plan to try. Each cell represents an actual run. After the run, record what happened, add an observation, assign your own rating, and retain the setting values for that sample. The matrix makes neighboring trials easy to compare, instead of searching separate notes.
Ratings are user-entered workshop judgments. The app does not inspect the workpiece, score an image, or declare one cell objectively better; it preserves your observed result without replacing hands-on review. A photo can add context but remains documentation only; no image service classifies engraving quality or decides whether a material is suitable.
As material lots or machine conditions change, a prior grid may need a new edition. Revision management preserves the earlier record while creating a later version, instead of overwriting the history behind an old sample.
Laser Test Atlas does not include automatic optimization. It does not predict results, select a best cell, or generate presets, and no artificial intelligence chooses settings or claims an observation will reproduce on a later job.
The app does not control a laser. It cannot connect to a machine, send a job, change power or speed, start a run, or read hardware status; all machine operation happens through the manufacturer's own controls. Entries from other sources are not verified by the app.
Laser work can involve fire, smoke, hazardous emissions, and unsuitable materials. The app does not determine fire risk, fume toxicity, material compatibility, or whether a setting is safe. Never use a cell entry as a substitute for the machine manual or continuous supervision; a prior result does not guarantee another piece behaves the same. Keep the laser supervised and follow current safety instructions for every run.
No account is required, and there is no hosted profile or developer cloud. Materials, grids, cells, observations, ratings, images, and revisions stay on the device. Cloud synchronization is not included, so records do not mirror across devices, and multiple people cannot jointly edit a live atlas. Protect your device with an iOS passcode; device loss, failure, or app deletion does not cause the developer to recover your tests.
The 7-day free trial includes material entries, measured grids, observations, ratings, comparisons, and revisions. When it ends, the selected monthly or yearly subscription is charged to the Apple Account shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends; deleting the app does not cancel it.
To cancel or review a plan, open iOS Settings, select your Apple Account, then Subscriptions. Use Restore Purchases to restore an entitlement on the same Apple Account. Both plans provide the same features; the final localized price appears on the purchase sheet.
Laser Test Atlas is not an authority on a machine or material. It is a disciplined memory of your own completed trials, so the next sheet begins with evidence you can inspect while every safety decision remains yours.
