About

Lasso gets your motor assist back within about a second after your Cowboy e-bike reboots mid-ride, so you keep riding instead of stopping at the side of the road. An ageing battery can drop out for a split second. The bike restarts locked, the motor goes quiet, and the official app's Auto Unlock does not step in again. You have to stop, often in traffic, and hold the button. Lasso notices the drop and unlocks the bike again as soon as it is back. What you get • Automatic re-unlock. Lasso keeps a Bluetooth connection to your bike in the background and sends the unlock within about a second of the bike coming back. • Your own locks are respected. A lock at a standstill, or after you have been away for a while, ends the ride and stays locked. • Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. A Live Activity shows lock state, battery, voltage, speed, distance and how many times Lasso stepped in. • A notification when the bike has been unlocked again. • Manual Unlock, Lock and Lights buttons. • Every drop, explained. A detailed log of disconnects, reconnects and lock changes, with signal strength and battery voltage. Export it as a text file for a repair shop or for support. • Tune it to your bike. Presets for the unlock mechanism, an adjustable reconnect window and a dry run mode that logs what Lasso would do without touching the bike. How it works Lasso stays connected to your bike while you ride. When the connection drops and the bike comes back locked within a minute, that was a reboot, not you, so Lasso unlocks it. If the bike locks itself while you are still moving, Lasso undoes that too. Choose a mode: During a ride (the default), Always (unlock whenever the phone connects) or Off (log only). Everything happens between your iPhone and your bike. No account, no cloud. Requirements • Cowboy 3. Later Cowboy models use the same lock and may work, but have not been tested yet. • iPhone with iOS 17 or later. • Your iPhone has been paired with the bike in the official Cowboy app at least once. Lasso reuses that Bluetooth pairing and never asks for your passkey or your Cowboy account. • Leave Bluetooth on, and do not swipe Lasso away in the app switcher. iOS stops background Bluetooth for apps that have been force-quit. Trial and purchase Start a free 7-day trial from inside the app. Everything works during the trial. After 7 days, automatic re-unlock needs a one-time Lifetime purchase. No subscription. Manual Unlock, Lock and Lights and the log keep working without a purchase. Privacy Lasso has no account and does not collect your data. Ride data, lock state and the log stay on your iPhone and only leave it when you share the log yourself. Purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. Safety Lasso only writes to your bike's lock and lights. It does not change motor, speed or power settings. You stay responsible for your bike and your riding. Open source Lasso's source code is on GitHub, released under GPLv3. You can read exactly what the app sends to your bike. Lasso is an independent app. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Cowboy SA. Cowboy is a trademark of Cowboy SA.
