About

Last Contact is a creepy, atmospheric retro roguelike built on tension, inspired by the golden age of '80s home computers and consoles. You wake at your desk. The power is dead, the office is silent, and the city beyond the window has been swallowed by the dark. A radio crackles the same message on a loop: a toxic gas has leaked across the city. Stay inside, don't go out, exposure causes mutations. But out in the black skyline you see it: a single distant light, burning atop the tallest, farthest tower. The last sign of hope. So you decide to go. EXPLORE. LISTEN. ESCAPE. Every run builds a new maze of streets, buildings and ruins. Read the light and the sound, listen at every corner, and let tension guide you: the threat is usually heard before it's seen. Slip past what you can't beat, or stand your ground with the weapons and tools you scavenge along the way. HEADPHONES STRONGLY RECOMMENDED Sound cues are vital to survival. Monsters are often heard before they appear, and directional audio tells you where the danger is and helps you make the right choice. Every noise is information; every silence is tension. FOUR REGIONS, ONE WAY OUT A painted world map traces your route across four handcrafted regions: the dark city, the swamp, the mountain and the military base. Each has its own monsters, more than twenty kinds in all, and its own scarce ammo, weapons and items: a flamethrower, molotovs, flares, a sentry gun, a motion detector and more. Some are used up in seconds, some stay with you for the whole run. At the end waits the horror between you and the way out. How you survive decides how it ends. SURVIVE TOGETHER Play in local co-op with a friend, on the same Wi-Fi or a phone's hotspot: explore side by side and watch each other's back. No internet needed. FROM EASY TO HARD Work your way up from Easy to Hard. Take on the Daily Run, save your run and pick it up later, and fill the bestiary one monster at a time. FEATURES - A dark, atmospheric world in old-school pixel art, across 4 regions linked by a world map - Local co-op for two players, no internet needed - More than 20 kinds of monster, hidden dangers and a final boss (if you find it… or if it finds you) - Multiple endings: your path and your survival decide your fate - Weapons, consumables and upgrades that last the whole run - Procedural, permadeath roguelike runs: every run starts from zero, no two escapes are alike - Difficulty modes from Easy to Hard, a Daily Run and a bestiary to complete - Labyrinthine, borderline liminal levels where stealth and exploration beat brute force - A creeping mystery told through light, sound and dread - Plays fully offline (achievements and leaderboards aside) Try Last Contact before you buy. A single one-time purchase unlocks the full game: every building, co-op, all difficulty modes, saved runs, the Daily Run and leaderboards. No ads. Cross this mysterious region, discover what's hidden in the shadows, and use all your senses to survive.
