THIS VERSION PLAYS WITHOUT A GAME MASTER: THE AI ANSWERS EVERY QUESTION. A man lies dead in the middle of a field. Beside him is a bag that was never opened. You have the end of the story. Ask closed questions until you work out the rest. This is the card game where one person reads out a grim situation and answers yes or no while everyone else digs. Here the file answers for itself. Nobody has to be the game master, so nobody sits out. 145 files, written one at a time. Five are open, 140 are sealed. THE RECORD Every file gives you the last page and nothing else. You ask questions that can be answered yes or no, and the office rules on them. Three answers, never a fourth: yes, no, not important. "Did he know her?" is a question. "Why did he do it?" comes back not important. When you think you have the story, type it into the same field. There is no separate button. If your version holds up, the file closes. ALONE, OR THE PHONE GOING ROUND The same file works for one player or six. At a table, everyone asks in turn and the phone moves on. Ten minutes before sleep, it is the same game, slower. A record survives anything. Close the app mid-question and it is there when you come back, answers already stamped. WHAT IS IN THE CABINET 145 situations, easy to expert, in eight sets: ordinary deaths, the evidence room, on the road, locked rooms, open country, the black flag, under the walls, ash and laurel. Three hints per file, each one more talkative than the last. They cost stars, not questions. Stars that say how that one case went, and nothing else. They are not a collection and there is no leaderboard. Eleven languages. Every case exists in all eleven, not just the interface. Haptics, and a low room tone you can switch off. WHAT IS NOT HERE No subscription. Five files open, then one set, or all of them at once. One payment, once. No ads. No account. No tracking. No timers, no streak to keep alive, no lives to wait for. Two notifications a week at most, and only about a file you have actually opened. A connection is required: a server reads the questions and rules on them. The situations are grim. There are murders, accidents, drownings, and deaths that only make sense on the last line. Not every file is a death, but most are.
