Better automatic visit detection — and a lot more control over your history. DETECTION THAT ACTUALLY CATCHES YOUR VISITS • Visits are now detected reliably after you leave the app, including when iOS has closed it in the background • A new departure geofence notices when you leave a place, instead of waiting for a location update that might never arrive • The live capture card updates while you are sitting still — before, it could stay blank for an entire visit • Places are matched by whole words, so a pub called "Finnegan's" is no longer treated as an inn, and a steakhouse is no longer mistaken for a street address • Visit lengths are accurate: a one-hour dinner reported late by iOS is no longer saved as a ten-hour stay • Noticeably less battery use — continuous GPS now runs only while the app is open IF PRECISE LOCATION IS OFF Last Time now tells you, and offers a one-tap fix. Previously, detection would quietly do nothing at all. YOUR HISTORY IS SAFER • Visits are stored in a new format that keeps a backup copy and can recover from a damaged record instead of losing everything • Sync problems are now visible, with a retry, instead of failing silently • New: restore from a backup file, so the export feature finally works both ways • Signing out now fully stops tracking, so a shared phone never writes visits into someone else's account NEW THINGS TO USE • Search your places, with filters and sorting on the Visits tab • Notification buttons work — add a memory straight from the lock screen without opening the app • Smart Recap and Forgotten Places are back on the home screen • Edit a visit's date • A confirmation before discarding a memory you have not saved NOW IN SEVEN MORE LANGUAGES Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese and Simplified Chinese.
