Great app, easy to use

I’ve been using it for over 6 months now and have found it super helpful during my spring garage cleaning and organizing and when hosting big parties. Definitely saves time and money. I’ve already avoided last-minute store runs a couple of times for things that I knew I had but could not locate, which happened a lot before during party hosting.
I’m giving it 4 stars for now since I haven’t used it long enough to judge long-term performance. Let’s see how it holds up over time!

Works Well

The interface is simple and easy to use. In the future, GPS integration would be nice for places and then maybe show items on the map.

App kinda works.

This would be nice if it was more user friendly. It also doesn’t make sense why I have to search things to find them and they aren’t just always visible in the list. There’s also no menu to look at my item when I click on it to view it full screen, I think it’s pretty standard to have a viewing menu separate from the edit menu.

Response from developer

Hi OregonDeadSquirrelAndRatBuff, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. We truly value your feedback and want to clarify where the features you mentioned are located and provide the rationale behind our design choices, which can also help other users. 1. Viewing All Items: You can access the full list of your items and places through the "Settings" tab. You can watch a short video on this feature at https://lastseen.app/howitworks#settings However, we understand your concern and are already working on an update to make browsing the entire list more intuitive and easier to find. 2. Viewing vs. Editing: To create a streamlined experience, we combined viewing and editing into one dynamic screen. When you select an item, it opens in "view mode" but allows you to modify specific fields inline. For example, you can tap the pencil icon next to the item description to make that field editable. The interface detects any changes and presents "Update" and "Cancel" buttons, giving you control to confirm or revert changes. We hope this approach reduces the number of actions needed, but we are listening and will continue to evaluate based on your input. We aim to make LastSeen.app as user-friendly as possible, and feedback like yours helps us improve. You may additionally send us feedback at support@lastseen.app. Thanks again!
