What's New in Latent Photos Assistant

1.1.0

August 4, 2026

NEW IN 1.1 • Interactive tour: two demo photos walk you through Similar, Compare and tagging, hands-on, in about two minutes. Replay anytime from Settings. • Pick your language on first launch. Latent Photos speaks 24, with more natural wording throughout in this release. • Lifetime Unlock: everything is free to try; after a week of real use, one $10 purchase keeps every feature forever. No subscription, ever. • Promise kept: if you downloaded during 1.0, everything stays free for you, for good. IMPROVED • "Optimize iPhone Storage" libraries index much faster: originals are no longer downloaded just to be analyzed. • Live Photos now pinch-zoom, and the LIVE badge stays clear of the status bar. • Sharper Compare view, smarter grid position after filtering, sturdier tag-to-album sync. • Steadier controls: every button keeps one job in every state, with one consistent flow for bulk tagging, reviewing and deleting. • Many more fixes from launch-week feedback. Apple Photos for minimalist

This is a gem! For many years I’ve been overwhelmed and tired of bloating Photos app. Didn’t expect to find this instead. Using it over a 4 hour flight and cleaned up last 3 years photos. Will continue review for my 15 years iPhone library for upcoming trips!

Surprisingly great

Was one of the first adopters from reddit, amazingly impressed and way out of my expectation. UI is sleek and just feels like Apple Photos, but just minimalist. Does review, dedup, organization just right. Great app!

Response from developer

Thank you very much for being one of the first! "Feels like Apple Photos, but minimalist" is exactly what we were aiming for, so this one made our day. Thanks again for taking the leap from Reddit early on, reviews like this help more people find the app. If anything ever feels off, we're at hello@latentsnap.com. — LT
