The Moment is a camera, darkroom, and photographic journal for iPhone and iPad. Choose a film and see its character while you compose. Capture RAW photographs, make silent moving film, load magnetic Tapes, and let everything gather into rolls you will want to return to. SEE THE FILM BEFORE THE SHUTTER Live Interpretation brings your chosen film into the viewfinder before you press the shutter. The Moment records RAW originals, leaving room to return to the photograph and develop it with intention. TWO WAYS TO PHOTOGRAPH MOTION A Cartridge holds silent moving photographs made through the film already in your camera. Capture short Takes, trim and reorder them, set some aside, then play the finished reel in its native rhythm or with a Super 8 cadence. Or load Video8, VHS-C, or Hi8. Tapes keep sound and carry their own 4:3 character, clock, recorded zoom, tracking, colour, sharpness, wear, and generation. Name a cassette, arrange its recordings, dub selected Takes onto another tape, rewind, fast-forward, play, and export. DEVELOP, DON’T DECORATE The darkroom is built around Film, Light, and Paper. Shape the negative, work with exposure and colour, choose the grain and paper, crop on the Easel, and compare the finished photograph with First Light. On iPad, the Bench keeps the print, materials, and development controls together. MAKE A PHYSICAL PRINT Finish gives the photograph a body: photographic borders, slide mounts, Polaroid frames, 8mm, 16mm, and 35mm gates, date stamps, folds, scuffs, patina, dust, and Life in the Paper. MAKE TWO EXPOSURES ONE Half Frame and Double Exposure preserve two RAW sources as one Compound Negative. Adjust their balance, change Half Frame order, and keep the complete two-RAW negative in Files. KEEP A PHOTOGRAPHIC LIFE Frames and Takes gather into rolls by day. Give them names and notes, revisit them by place, and watch the album form chapters across months and years. Recently Deleted keeps removed work recoverable for 30 days. SHARE DELIBERATELY Place work in the public Field, invite trusted people into private Circles, or send a sealed Envelope. A complete ledger shows what has left your private library and where it went.
