Missing Septuagint

Although the app is a beautiful rendition of the Vulgate, it is missing the entire Vulgate including the books of the Septuagint. Given it was compiled by St Jerome, I believe it is important to include all the books from the 4th century, not just the Rabbinical canon from the 11th century.

A great Latin refresher

If you are familiar with the New Testament and are able to interpret some Latin, this may be a great way for you to encourage retention of the Latin language. I use the Latin Vulgate Bible in order to increase my ability to understand Latin vocabulary. Using my understanding of the verses in English, I am usually able to figure out the words I do not know and see how they are being used. It is also helpful to read the Bible in a different language because there are different words for “love “ and for “you” ; and there are other words that could change the meaning that you are getting from reading only in English.

Not working

Kept crashing when choosing books. This happened with an Ipad.

No longer functions

A bug prevents me from navigating to different texts—I’ve been stuck on Ps 22 for weeks. Attempts to get to a passage other than the one I’m on, except for a very narrow window (other chapters in Psalms) lead to a crash. If fixed, I’ll change the ratings, beciase it used to be quite handy.

If I were better at reading Latin I would use it more. Nonetheless, I’m glad this resource exists. Pax!

Crash problems

Looks great, at least the content that doesn’t crash every single time I try to go to it. Restarting the phone and deleting and reinstalling the app doesn’t help. If the problem is ever fixed, I’m sure I’ll give it a higher review at that time.

Political ads in the Vulgate???

I’ve tried to activate the zero ad feature & nothing happens at ALL. Fix it please. Also there I am reading an excellent edition of the Vulgate & JOE BIDEN SHOWS UP IN A VIDEO AD- IN THE HOLY BIBLE???? ST JEROME IS ROLLING OVER IN HIS GRAVE.

If you are forcing ads down readers throats at least stick to the sunblock ads. Church & State do not mix!

Good, but crashes

good app, in looks and content, but I can’t scroll past hebrews when trying to look at a new testament passage without the app crashing, everytime.
