About
■ What is LaundryRadar?
Hang your laundry outside, and LaundryRadar keeps an eye on the sky. When rain or snow approaches your drying spot, it sends you a friendly nudge: "Time to bring the laundry in?"
A sudden shower. An undecided sky. Storm winds picking up.
We built this app to end that "I just hung it out and now it's raining…" feeling.
■ Three simple steps
1. Hang your laundry, then tap "Start watching"
2. Get a push notification before rain or snow arrives
3. Tap "I brought the laundry in" when you're done
While watching, you can close the app completely. Our server checks the weather at your drying spot every few minutes and pushes an alert the moment the risk rises.
■ Key features
- Covers rain, snow, sleet, storms, strong wind, and sudden downpours
- "Bring-in guidance" based on minute-by-minute precipitation forecasts
- A one-glance Drying Score that tells you how good today is for outdoor drying
- A morning briefing around 7 AM with today's drying outlook
- Register multiple places: home, balcony, parents' house, work
- Home Screen widget shows the current risk at a glance
- Simple 6-hour precipitation-chance timeline
■ Notifications that respect your attention
Tired of weather apps that never stop buzzing? LaundryRadar is deliberately quiet.
- Alerts are sent only while you're watching
- No repeated alerts for the same rain event
- Choose your lead time (15–90 minutes ahead)
- Adjust sensitivity (conservative / standard / early)
- Set quiet hours for nights and early mornings
- "Don't notify today" pauses alerts for the day
■ Location & privacy
- Location is used only to check the weather at your drying spots
- No location permission? Add places by address search instead
- Saved coordinates are rounded to about 1 km; your precise position and movement history are never stored
- "Delete All Data" removes everything from both your device and our servers
■ Please note
Weather is inherently uncertain. LaundryRadar alerts you to the possibility of rain or snow; it cannot promise the forecast will hold. For laundry you truly care about, check the sky as well.
