Lava Stairs

Three columns. Rising lava. One thumb. Tap left or right to climb. Lava Stairs is a one-thumb arcade climber that gets faster the higher you go. Tiles spawn in a zigzag pattern above you — tap the correct direction or you fall and burn. You start with a few seconds of breathing room. By row 30 you're under pressure. Tap the half of the screen that matches where the tile is. Get it wrong and you fall to the lava. Get it right and the next tile appears, slightly faster than before. The lava starts a few rows below you. As you climb, it speeds up using a smooth curve — feel the squeeze tighten from 3 seconds at row 0 to half a second at row 50 to one-third of a second at row 80 and beyond. Standing still is never an option for long. The game uses Game Center-friendly local high-score tracking, scales with iPhone screen sizes, and respects iOS App Tracking Transparency for ads.
