Invaluable

I’ve used Lawstack for my consulting needs for years and it’s always come through. As sole business owner, I was never fond of subscriptions, but the is one that I feel is very justified. Beats having the paper manuals in a backpack like the old days.

Great Info and Support

Could not give them a stronger rating. Here for all of us should be there motto!

Needs Update

This app used to be my go to for referencing CFR 21 but then the bookmarking hasn’t worked. Syncing bookmarks between devices doesn’t work. I’ve reached out before and they responded they were working on it but that was years ago. This app had so much potential. I hope they pick up the project again.

Great App

Excellent customer support! Responsive and very helpful.

LawStack is my favorite for researching NY Law

This app has been around for a while. I’ve been utilizing the subscription for well over 10 years. The data and laws are always up to date. They even include the proposed changes coming in the future.

The ease of use with the search feature, being able to highlight sections I utilize regularly as well as the options to email/share the sections are very resourceful.

I highly recommend this app to any lawyer, court employee, judge, law buff. It’s very detailed and covers everything NY has written in its book. No need to use google with bad links and sources.

Hyperlinks are wrong

I’m disappointed in this product. It used to be very good but I find that the hyperlinks nowadays included in the regulations (e.g., 10 CFR) are all wrong. They take you to an entirely different set of regulations (DOE instead of NRC). I’ve emailed the company but no response and no fix. Too much money for a product that has issues like these.

Not up to date as I thought

I finally gave in and pay for the subscription, but a bit disappointed to learn that this is not updated. The version I got is 16 May 2024. In FAR 23.6 to 23.11 are still in this version whereas in the web version of the Acquisition.gov, these FAR Parts has been converted to reserve, and there is no FAR Part 23.11

Super satisfied

I’ve been using LawStack for years. Extremely helpful to have the statutes available on my phone. Whenever I’ve had an issue, Neil Patrick of LawStack has been incredibly responsive and helpful. Has gone out of his way to handle my concern quickly and efficiently. If other app or technology companies had real people like him around, reachable and responsive, the world would run much more smoothly.

Responsive Development Team

I was a bit Leary of spending the extra dollars, but I am certainly happy I did. While the app may not have every feature you desire, the developers seem to be very responsive, at least when it comes to correcting errors. I’ll stay with this app for years to come, and have no doubt that the features will get better and better as the developers respond to their customers’ needs.

Lawstack Government regulations

I have been using Law Stack for over 20 years. The information was always current and helpful for my work while I was in the Federal Government and in my training and consulting work after I left. Congrats to the product and the staff that delivered it. Dr. Fred Lang

Excellent resource for legal research

Thank you !

Great and Timely Info

I've used this S/W for quite a while and it's always been accurate and current. The support staff is superb. A pleasure to have this at my fingertips when I'm collaborating with others.

Too old and out of date - too expensive

I have been a subscriber for many years to the Florida Statutes and Court Rules. Currently, they just charged me for $59.99 but the statutes are more than a year behind the legislative updates! The Court Rules are so behind the current versions, anyone using this service will be called out in court for not having the current rules. There have been substantive changes in Florida Statutes and Court Rules for Family Law over the last year or two - none of these changes are reflected in the current product. I noticed it before but gave it another year. I wish I had not paid to renew; it is just worthless when it is this out of date.

Incredibly expensive and overpriced!

I am impressed with the app's search functionality and overall performance, and I think it could be the best law app on the Apple market. However, I find the subscription fees to be unreasonably high and excessive, especially since the content consists of statutes and laws that are freely available online. Additionally, it seems that each module requires a separate cost rather than a simple one-time fee to access the relevant law modules. And you are not looking at $9.99. You are looking at 29.99 or 99.99 per module. Not worth the small benefit you get from the app.

MSHA Inspector

This is a perfect tool to use and to have. You don't need to carry a CFR 30 book around with you. The larger ones are bulky and the smaller ones are hard to navigate through. This is more friendlier to use has a search feature that helps a lot. Work with no internet service don’t have to carry a light to ready the book versions. I highly recommend it for anyone in the mining industry and inspectors.

Yet another scummy development team trying to get away with cheap development and selling free information.

This is all public information posted online for free.

Great app

Great app--easy to use and accurate. The support team is responsive and helpful. As a tax professional, this app really works well for me. It's so nice to have this on my phone and iPad where I can get to it at a moment's notice.

No 2023 Update?!

No update for 2023!

AMAZING!

As a trial enthusiast and someone with a thirst for legal knowledge, law stack has really helped me familiarize myself with some of the legal rules and motions being discussed when watching trials… I love it!

Price jump from $29.99 to $99.99!

I don’t understand why the CA Laws app in Law Stack has such a ridiculous increase in price from $29.99 to $99.99 in a year. It’s literally just pre-printed legal codes.

For what possible justification could there be to justify a 300%+ price increase in a year? There are many other much cheaper apps out there. Disappointing that the developers are trying to get so greedy for a simple app. Now I’ll just have to go elsewhere for something much cheaper.
