**You Can Now See Notifications Inside the App** Layer now has a built-in notification inbox. A new bell icon in the app header lets you see when actions complete, collaborators make updates, and other key events happen — without needing to check email. Notifications are organized around activity threads, making it easy to follow what's changed and where. **Document Views Have More Formatting and Display Options** Document views gained several quality-of-life improvements in this release. You can now set paragraph spacing in text blocks for better readability. Select fields can now display all available options inline in document view, and the Fields Table block makes it easier to click into particular fields within an element from a report. **Company Management Has More Administrative Power** Admins can now add a user to all projects in a single action directly from the company dashboard, making onboarding and team changes much faster. Company-level actions are also now tracked in the activity log, giving admins a clearer audit trail of changes made at the organization level. **Formula Fields Are Easier to Use** The formula editor has a refreshed interface — buttons and controls are always visible, duplicate node support is built in, and the overall appearance is more polished and consistent. These changes make building and editing formulas in the field editor more intuitive. **Invitations Now Correctly Bind to the Invited Email** Company invite links are now properly tied to the invited email address, preventing cases where a new account could be created under a different email than the one that received the invite. **Bug Fixes** - Fixed an issue where annotations on rotated pages in PDF reports were placed or rotated incorrectly. - Fixed a crash in the mobile photo editor that could loop when editing high-resolution photos. - Fixed thumbnail generation to correctly render circles, lines, arrows, and ink annotations (previously only squares, polygons, and stamps rendered) on edited images. - Fixed corrupted category-view references caused by applying project templates. - Fixed number field values being silently dropped when used in automations or bulk edit. - Fixed the element API returning 500 errors when encountering dangling select options or quantity-less related fields. - Fixed spreadsheet imports not matching multi-select fields with numeric values. - Fixed document view report exports hanging or running out of memory during post-processing. - Fixed PDFs with embedded annotations causing the drawing viewer to crash. - Fixed project collaborator permission issues. - Fixed orphaned photo files stuck in a permanent "pending upload" state. - Fixed an isolated collection failure in file cleanup from blocking the rest of the cleanup run. - Fixed report generation crashing on annotations with bad date values. **Improvements** - Improved overall app performance with targeted rendering and initialization optimizations. - Added element search as a new REST API endpoint, enabling more flexible external integrations. - Added PATCH and DELETE endpoints for projects, categories, and views via the REST API and MCP tools. - Added a more reliable image processing pipeline for thumbnail generation, including parallelized processing. - Improved photo and file upload status so you can tell the difference between a file still uploading from your device and one that has finished uploading and is only generating its preview — once a photo is uploaded, it's safe to leave the screen. Uploads that fail are now called out instead of showing an endless progress bar.
