No sound, no save, no settings
Does not play sound. Furthermore, there appears to be no in-game way to look at settings to check anything, much less audio, and it does not seem to automatically save progress, so I had to start over again when I closed the app
Cutscenes are just black - no video
Cutscenes are just black - no video. Support only answered with an advice of reinstalling app and updating my phone. Then they went silent stopping answering me. This is terrible. I’d like to refund this game.

I love this series
I really hope they are able to make all of the original professor Layton games to iOS app format. They stopped making the games for the ds that I had so never got to play through the rest after the 4th one. I will definitely pay for all of them if they ever get made and still hope they do!
Boring and the puzzles are awful
The puzzle are incredibly confusing not because they are good puzzles but because they are poorly explained. Glad I didn’t waste money on this one.
No audio
I’ve restarted the game and app multiple times, it won’t play audio
Wibble Wobble
Please PLEASE bring back wibble wobble. If you do you will bring back joy to children like me to even adults. So please bring back wibble wobble!!!!!
Ho-hum
Game is ok for the price ($15.99). It provides a few hours of game play.
I played all the old Professor Layton games and enjoyed the puzzles and dialogue. This one, not so much. The first case has the protagonist, Katrielle, eating and going shopping. The second, she is... wait for it.. DRESSING UP and going on a date with her assistant who is apparently hopelessly in love with her. It’s very patronizing. It’s possible to have a female protagonist without making her shallow. If she’s some rockstar private eye, maybe give her some freaking chops. The puzzles are kind of stupid and repetitive, and often poorly explained. The dialogue is long-winded and insubstantial. I often just click through it as fast as possible to get to another interactive portion. Collecting hint coins is basically just clicking around on the screen until something happens.

Dropped the ball
If you’re like me, you downloaded this because you’re a fan of the OG Professor Layton games. I can see that they definitely had an influence, but I hate everything about it. The main characters are completely unlikeable, the interface looks like it was designed for kindergarteners, and they’re pandering to the female audience with the “dress-up” function. Save your money and your time, and just wait for the reboots of the original games, which by the way, are fantastic. Hopefully, if we support those, they’ll drop this stupid Katrielle storyline and continue with the professor.

Cutscenes aren’t playing
Only subtitles are. And what’s SK vs the other Katrielle Millionaires game by level-5?
Sooooo laaaame!
It doesn’t let you skip most of the dialogue. I don’t care about your poorly written story; I just want to do puzzles!
What
We hate it I mean why it sooo expensive
Is this same to the premium version?
I purchased full-cases in app.
That everything in this starter-kit app is same to the premium app?

Very slow
This game is incredibly slow and boring. There far to much talking between puzzles. The puzzles were easy even though the instructions were poorly explained. I might have played more but it just took to long to get to the next puzzle. It was put together well and the art style was nice but it jus didnt hold my interest.

Not worth to buy it
I seldom purchase app, but I bought the whole game after playing the free kit. The free episodes are so touching, and interesting. I spent few hours one only one of it.
But I can feel that they are giving less efforts on paid episodes because the stories are much shorter, and super easy to be solved.
And I would like to say that the Professor Layton is more challenging. Comparing to her father, the cases that miss Layton were accepted are much more easy, I don’t really need to think a lot and can guess the answer

Wow!
That’s the first thing I say! This game has it all. Beautiful animations, relaxing music, hard thinking puzzles, and interesting stories. It does cost a lot of money though. And no ads! I just hope you add more cases. And... could Professor Layton maybe appear? Just a request. Thank you for reading my review. It means a lot to me. Bye!
