V1.2.12: Beyond the Scan Check. Compare. Prepare. Official Recall Radar Request an online recall check from a product result. LB searches supported U.S. Food and Drug Administration, UK Food Standards Agency, or U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission sources according to the product category. Links to additional official portals include Health Canada and relevant European alert systems. Results distinguish exact product-code matches from product-name matches and show which sources were checked or could not be reached. Coverage is limited: no match is not proof of safety. Check the official notice and the real package, including the affected batch or lot. Evidence-based Product Comparison Choose two products in Scan History to compare their available sources, shared and differing ingredients, listed allergens or cautions, nutrition fields, and recognized supply hazard codes. Food scores are estimates. The comparison explains the available evidence without declaring a product universally safe or choosing a substitute for you. Manufacturer Question Builder Use Ask the Manufacturer from a product result to prepare a written request for missing or unclear information. It includes available product identifiers, broad label terms, unmatched ingredient segments, and relevant scanned hazard codes. Questions adapt to food, pet food, cosmetics, or supplies. Review the draft, then copy or share it yourself. Private notes, personal profiles, and scan history are excluded. LB prepares the questions; it does not send them automatically or verify a manufacturer response. Supply Safety 2.0 with Safety Data Sheet Coverage Cleaning and supply results now group recognized precaution codes into general guidance, prevention, response and first aid, storage, and disposal. Recognized hazard codes and label wording can identify exposure routes and signal words. For readable Safety Data Sheet text with recognized numbered English headings, LB detects sections from the standard 1-16 structure, displays excerpts from important sections, and flags critical sections not detected in the capture. This is a check of the captured text, not authentication of the document or a replacement for the complete current Safety Data Sheet. All Six Bundled Databases Updated The local food, pet-food, cosmetic, cleaning-product, art and school supply, and raw-food fiber databases have been refreshed. They contain 279 food ingredient records, 94 pet-food records, 159 cosmetic records, 80 cleaning-product records, 94 supply records, and 49 raw-food fiber references. These references support local ingredient matching, explanations, cautions, and fiber lookup. Bundled files are checked for supported structure and field values before packaging. Coverage remains limited to the included records; unmatched text still needs review.
