A good dictionary for true learners.
Longman dictionary is good at breaking down complex words to the simplest form for anyone to understand. This is what I like most about the dictionary. It’s always my first point of call for a dictionary. Thank you.
Great dictionary but developer want more money
First, I appreciate the constant support of this app, especially it’s been out for a long period of time. But all of a sudden, developer told us to pay more to maintain the regular update of the app is unacceptable. So my suggestion is develop a new app and put all the resources on the new one.
Again, I love this app but don’t let me feel like being scammed.

It was just a delay in the update rollout. The new version arrived the next day. There was never any need to pay more money.
App doesn’t work
It doesn’t work and keeps asking to download a new version but when I go to App Store to update it there is no new version to download

There were issues with Apple's licensing system. Please download the latest version (14.0). That fixes the issue. Go to AppStore > [your account] > "Update all" and it will download if you are on WiFi. Sorry for the inconvenience.

First of all I have to say that your dictionary is a very useful and also impressive guide for all the learners of english language, I really appreciate your efforts, you did a great job, but recently I found a typing error in the entry of proper name “Richard Wagner” in your dictionary. unfortunately the name of his famous opera, “Tristan and Isolde” was written: “Tristram and Isolde”. if it is possible in your upcoming updates correct this error.

Really happy with this purchase
Been using Oxford Advanced Learners’ Dict for 7+ years but their price, bugs and subscription policy just recently got ridiculous. Longman has wayyyy better ios and macos app that works more smoothly, has more user friendly interface, boasts a greater number of word/collocation/idiom/thesaurus entries and pictures, all for the same price if not better. Should have switched to using Longman much earlier.

Way too many glitches
Edit the bookmarks and they will instantly jump to the previous order. when I emailed support asking for help I didn’t receive an answer. Not worth the price

A lot of issues
I have been an LDOCE user for more than 15 years but never liked their apps.
It takes the app forever to download the example audio files, although they are around 1 GB.
When I open the app, it takes a few seconds to show the search bar and keyboard. First, I see “Shake to clear” and the keyboard moving up and down before I can type any words.
For an app at this price point, a well-designed, natively implemented version is necessary. Merriam Webster has a free dictionary with a UI and UX 10 times better than this app.

Unable to download the example sentences for offline
Like 3 weeks ago, it was fine. But it doesn’t work for 3 hours rn so please check and leave a response. Thank you. I may change the star from 1 to 5 if I get a quick response!?

Better than ever
I really love how better is the iCloud sync now, one option that I would love to see is to have an option to move bookmarked words out of a folder and into the main page.

You can. Open the details page of a word you bookmarked, select the button in the top right, tap the folder name to open the folder window, then select "Bookmarks"

Try restarting the device. Once download starts, wait until it is finished before leaving the app. Email support for more details.
Why not on iPad4?
I'm using this app on my iPad 4 (laset version of IOS 10.3.3). This app is not working at all on this iPad any more and most of the time crashed. That was my favorite dictionary and was brilliant but I'm so upset by this problem. PLEEEESE compatible this version with IOS 10amd iPad 4 and PLEEEEESE fix the bogs beacuse we have paied mony too and we have right to use of this app.

Great app, but with some glitch.
The app is great, but there seems to have some glitch for the offline example sentence reading. After I purchased and downloaded the offline example sentence, it always show no internet connection, when my signal is poor. Hope the bug could be fixed in the future release.
Audio issue
I like to use this dictionary, but when I click the sentence and try to hear it. It doesn't work .
Please add better review system
That is wonderful that I can review my words. But that would be great, If there is a Leitner system, that help me to review some words every day by feedbacks. for example by pressing ✅❌and redisplaying some words next day that I have problem with them.
