Leano turns a soft tape measure into a 3D view of your body. You enter your measurements and a porcelain twin on a small plinth takes your shape, band by band, so a column of numbers becomes a body you can turn around and compare.
The twin starts from a female or male base figure and reshapes from your height and up to 14 circumferences: neck, shoulders, chest, waist, belly, hips, and both upper arms, forearms, thighs and calves. Each jade band on the model sits where your tape went and is sized to your number. No camera guesses your shape; the tape decides and the model follows.
Measuring is guided on your own twin: each step lights up the spot where the tape goes, with a line on how to hold it. Quick covers waist, hips and chest in about two minutes, and Full body takes all 14 parts, left and right. Measure twice to keep the average, switch between inches and centimeters, pounds and kilograms, and backdate a session when you catch up.
Then vs now lays an earlier session over today's body as a ghost and lists the change part by part, noting when a difference is within tape error. Drag the session tape to watch your body move between dates. With Pro, a heat map colors each region by how much it grew or shrank, and time-lapse plays every session as one movement.
Weigh-ins get the same care. Log your weight or let Apple Health bring it in, and Leano draws a smoothed daily trend through water and salt swings, with your weekly rate and the next milestone toward a goal weight. The Scale and tape strip keeps that trend next to your waist, because the tape often moves while the scale stalls.
Four numbers come with their sources: waist-to-height ratio (NICE guideline NG246), waist-to-hip ratio (WHO expert consultation, 2008), the US Navy body-fat estimate (Hodgdon and Beckett, Naval Health Research Center, 1984) and BMI (WHO). Each shows its formula, your value, the published bands and the reference. They describe body shape and are not medical advice.
Progress photos line up because the last photo of the same pose shows as a faint ghost over the camera. Front, side and back stay apart, a timer gives you time to step back, and a slider compares two photos. Photos stay inside Leano on your iPhone or iPad and are never uploaded.
Also in Leano: Apple Health (reads weight, height and body fat; saves waist, weight and body fat if you allow it), a weekly reminder, life events and plateau notes, a share card, CSV export and import, and a two-column layout on iPad. Coming from Leano 1? Your sessions, photos and weigh-ins move over when you open this version.
Leano has no account, no ads and no analytics. Measuring, history, photos, the four ratios, the weight trend and CSV export are free. Leano Pro adds the heat map, time-lapse, any two dates side by side for body and photos, charts for every part, the goal date and milestone history for your weight, weight charts beyond 90 days with your waist alongside, your own parts, a target per part and the PDF report. When Pro ends, nothing you logged is locked.
Leano Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. New subscribers to the yearly plan start with a two-week free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your Apple Account settings.
