Thank you, this is really thoughtful feedback, and you've named something I think about often. The current learning path assumes a true beginner, but you're right that many heritage learners already understand a lot from family and would benefit from starting further in. A placement test is on my mind for a future update. For now, the content is focused on the beginner level, but you can browse freely and pick the lessons or recipes that are useful to you - nothing has to be done in order. More advanced content is something I want to add as the app grows. And thank you for what you said about resources for Albanian children abroad. That's the reason this app exists.
