The app starts with a history of Argentinian Tango and then goes right into dancing instruction. The instructor does so without assuming the learner knows anything and it is refreshing and extremely informative. Never danced anything before and I am able to clearly follow. Also of note, the app owner is very attentive to his product and had a bug fixed within days of the request while personally communicating progress details during the app fix. Impressive. Thank you.

Best Argentine Tango app out there
Lots of video - lots of useful points and a great thing to use and learn from along with regular weekly classes.
Easy to practise things from this app series then try out on fellow dancers to get feedback and practise.
The video quality needs improving - there are now 1080p screens, 5.5" and 10" screens, 128GB devices - happy to pay extra for a larger quality version through an in app purchase for example or separate app. With AirPlay to an Apple ATV, some higher resolution video would be great.
Practical movements, sage advice. I'd recommend also getting at least volume VII for the musicality info (something that is excellent for a beginner to start on as soon as possible to get ahead of the pack).
volume V and VI for walking, Milonga also worthwhile too.
Please update the app and lose the splash screen or at least have it auto hide after a second or two.

Does Not Work
I purchased this but it will not work on my iPad of iPhone. Don’t buy it, it’s a ripoff!

Not lessons
These are quick EXAMPLES of steps. Nothing about timing. The woman's part is barely mentioned. I wouldn't buy again.

All volumes explain the timing of each piece of vocabulary. Additionally, there is an entire volume dedicated to follower’s technique (volume 5) and one devoted entirely to musicality (volume 7). These apps serve as a reference and are not meant to substitute for a live teacher that can feel and assess the subtleties of the dance.
Useful for busy people who already take lessons
Expecting to learn Tango using an iPad app is impractical and even a little sad but this series does make an excellent accompaniment to the hobbyist who is already taking lessons. My wife and I have been learning Tango for a few years but our lifestyle doesn't allow us to spend too much time or mental effort practicing.
This app does allow you to study a series of moves and refer back to them anytime during home practice sessions. Sadly, that's about as far as it goes though they are well enough structured there is no wow factor in the lessons.
If the price doesn't bother you then by all means buy it, I am happy with it.

Brilliant App!!
The only Tango app worth buying!!
To make the most out of this app however you must watch it over and over again!! Very informative, straight forward and a great way to review your dance classes (If you attend any).

Better than a Class
For purposes of learning figures, I like these apps (the three I have) better than any class. I learn best by watching the teacher, then practicing, then watching the teacher again, then more practice, over and over. There are never enough repetitions in a class for me to learn a figure deeply. But with these apps, I can repeat figures as many times as I need to, with practicing in between. And the quality of the instruction is as good as it gets.
The explanations are crystal clear and in sufficient detail. And they're very easy to access, so it just takes a few seconds to pull up the figure you want to learn or review.

A Must Have!
Awesome App. A must have for a all iPhone/iTouch/iPad owning tango dancers. Great resource during a Práctica or practice session. High level of instruction, clear descriptions, and an awesome archive of instructional videos, all available within the app. (No need for WiFi or 3G Connection.) Five stars! :)

Wonderful bite size instruction. Clear, concise, easy to understand, great pocket guide for when you are practicing. Hope to see more (perhaps an entire series).
