I like they keep simple. Tried a few others and the extra cartoons and animation make it too slow. Also can not stand having to unlock a level to proceed. Best way to memorize is to go back and forth on different words repeatedly. Only wish it would have both female and male voices in settings to toggle. Hen hao

I really like this app, but I noticed that the word for zero “Líng” sounded kind of weird. The problem is that it seems to add an extra syllable, causing it to sound more like
“lí-ung” instead of “líng” but overall, this is a good app.

Its good and has lots of helpful phrases but its a bit silly that u have to buy the rest , eight dollars is alot for just some words also my chinese tutor said that some words r a bit wierd. I dont know lots of chinese so idk which ones...... anyway. GOOD APP

You need it
This app saved me in Beijing. Don't know how to talk to the cashier or waiter? Listen to how to say things a few times right before you walk into the door or up to the register ~ need to talk to the taxi driver but don't know how? Show him what you're trying to say. You're lost? Practice the phrases before walking up to someone and asking for help. Don't worry! It also works without wifi ~ This was a life saver on multiple occasions during my study abroad in China.

It's pretty limited in what it offers. The food section e.g. is just a dictionary of food terms, not very helpful.
