A dancer’s dream for busy lives!
As someone who grew up dancing and still loves it deeply, the Avonya dance app has been an absolute game-changer. I don’t have the time to commit to formal classes anymore, but this app lets me stay connected to dance in a way that feels fun, challenging, and totally on my terms. The range of videos are excellent and on trend. And, I love being able to sneak in a session whenever I have a free moment. It’s brought joy and movement back into my routine—highly recommend for anyone who still has that dancer’s heart but a packed schedule!

Great concept!
I really like the site, and the classes look like they’re fun, but they appear to focus on those that are more physically fit…even the beginner class. As an older person with some joint issues, a seated session would be a good introduction to loosen us up and allow us to transition to the more advanced classes. Looking forward to seeing those!

Surprisingly Encouraging for Beginners
I’m totally new to dance, and Avonya made it feel approachable and even fun. I love being able to learn privately at home, without pressure. The AI gives helpful feedback that actually builds confidence. If you’re looking for a low-key, supportive way to learn, this app is a gem.

Love the Rhythm feature
Started using the app to get back into dancing. I love the rhythm feature and repetitions - makes it much easier to learn the choreography!

This App Proved Even I Can Dance
I don’t dance, except at weddings, and only after a few drinks. But this app actually makes dance something do-able for me. The steps are broken down clearly and I don’t feel lost. I like that I can pause, rewind, and go at my own pace without anyone watching or judging. I’m finding that I am surprising myself, lol. The music is great, the vibe is low-pressure, and I like practicing. If you think you can’t dance, give this app a try!

As a dance lover always looking to improve my skills, this app has been an absolute game-changer! The user-friendly interface and intuitive design make navigating through the lessons and tutorials super easy, even for beginners. The step-by-step breakdown of routines is clear and helps me follow along with ease, even when trying more complex moves. What I really appreciate is the ability to track my progress over time. I would also request for feedback and tips it would be really helpful to understand and learn better.
The only thing I would love to see improved is the addition of more advanced levels in certain styles. But overall, this app is fantastic and has definitely taken my dancing to the next level. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn or improve their dance skills!

Disappointing and poorly functioning
Signed up for this app as I saw the slate of choreographers (from around the world) who are teaching on here. The concept behind Avonya is wonderful, the execution not so much. The classes are very short (1-3 mins) and don’t teach the choreographies promised. There was an odissi dance piece I was looking forward to studying and the video that is the class is a 1.5 min excerpt of the dance with no explanation or breakdown. Also, when I then cancelled my membership I was told that I would have access until the period I had paid for expires. However, I am unable to access the classes even though I am paid for until the end of the month. Sad that this app didn’t live up to its promise.

What a fresh take!
I’ve been looking for something new to shake up the pandemic routine and this has reminded me how much I love learning dance. It’s such a great tool for a novice and it’s so exciting to get taught directly by renowned choreographers. This is my new favorite app!
