Fantastic app for learning Hebrew!

This app teaches both ancient and modern Hebrew. There are tons of flashcards, quizzes, lessons etc. that are fun and easy to understand. The app is very easy to navigate, as well. I highly recommend this one.

Very inadequate for vocabulary

Dies not include the entire dictionary in English or Hebrew. It’s useless, and a waste of time and money

Duplicitous

This app forces you to sign up with your personal information without giving you the option to Hide My Email. Couple with the other reviews that state that you have to put cards and are forced to subscribe makes this app duplicitous. Perhaps they gather information to then sell to data brokers and make more money off of you? Deleting

The "Hide My Email" option has always been available, and in the current version of the app, you can start learning without creating an account at all. We have never used user data to gather it to any brokers. Perhaps it is worth bringing to legal responsibility for public defamation?

Начала учить иврит с нуля, супер, что включены основы и разные шрифты для изучения алфавита. Классные тематические подборки - то, что нужно новичку!

Если вы пользуетесь приложением из России, то необходимо использовать VPN, так как наши сервера расположены в Европе и трафик часто блокируется Роскомнадзором...

Not actually free, immediate pay wall

You can’t even try lessons to see how they’re structured before being hit by a paywall. I’m not giving my card details to see if I like how an app works. I understand needing to make money for providing a service but maybe offer a few lessons of the alphabet and a couple beginner lessons free before the paywall?

Yeah you’re not technically doing anything wrong, people can download the app without paying which is what I believe you mean in some of the responses. But the app isn’t functional until you pay and that’s what people are upset about.

Если у вас есть проблемы - свяжитесь с технической поддержкой и мы попробуем вам помочь. При использовании приложения из России могут наблюдаться проблемы при загрузке курсов и заданий, связанные с тем что многие зарубежные серверы сейчас блокируются Роскомнадзором. Рекомендуем использовать VPN.

Forces you to use Apple ID

I don’t use my Apple ID to sign into anything, except Apple. I was super excited when I downloaded this app, and then I found out that you can not get past the first screen unless you sign in with your Apple ID. There is no option for a different email or a username, just Apple ID or nothing. I chose nothing, and immediately deleted the app. It’s disappointing, but if the developer was so closed-minded with their user sign-in, then the app experience probably wouldn’t be that great anyway. No one wants an app that screams “My way or the highway” on the first screen.

Pay or nothing

The app won’t even let you try the alphabet without making you pay. And it won’t let you have a free trial without agreeing to pay monthly. Of course you can cancel, but why would I even consider buying an app that I can’t even try anything for free.

I understand pay walls, and I understand charging for an app. But charging for a subscription without even being able to test the app without signing on to pay monthly is a little ridiculous.

You are providing false information. There are two types of subscriptions available in the application - for a month and for a year, depending on your preferences. An annual subscription can also be shared with other family members, which allows you to save a lot. A one-week free period is also available if you are applying for a subscription for the first time.

Glorified Flashcards

The app is nothing more than a bunch of decks of flashcards plus a short text on Hebrew grammar. There is no teaching, no methodology. The so called “simulators” shown but not available in the free version are again just deck of cards.

Cannot use app if under 13

I tried to setup this on my child’s iPad to continue their Hebrew studies from school but it only has Apple ID account creation. Apple doesn’t allow you to use this feature if under 13.

Thanks for the feedback. We are going to add “Login with Gmail” option soon as well.

Needs some improvement

Verbs should match more so what is spoken colloquially. E.g “to open” is לפתוח and not so much לפקוח. Would help if words were accompanied by an example sentence and also the pronoun that accompanies it (ב, איתו, עליו, etc)

Увы, приложение не позволяет пользоваться увеличенным шрифтом.
А значит недоступно для слабовидящих и всех старше 40 лет, тк с возрастом развивается дальнозоркость….
Очень обидно!
В предыдущих версиях таких ошибок в алгоритме не было….

Текст на кнопках с ответами достаточно крупный - мы уже увеличивали его по просьбе пользователей. Если вы используете дополнительное увеличение шрифтов во всех приложениях это, конечно, может вызывать проблемы - никто не знает как именно вы измените шрифт чтобы предусмотреть все возможные варианты. Тем не менее, мы ответили на ваше обращение в техническую поддержку и запросили дополнительные детали чтобы помочь вам решить проблему, но не получили от вас никакого ответа кроме этого негативного отзыва.

Платный мусор

Полностью платное. Экран выбора тарифов закрыть невозможно. В мусор сразу.

To developers

If you have to purchase or put in your card information into the subscription to get a “free” week. It’s not free, you got a discount added to your purchase. That is the problem, there is not ANY training on your app someone can use unless you purchase the subscription based service your provide. That would be deceiving to those that look into your app. Your description says “for full training you’d have to purchase the subscription” which is false I downloaded the app and everything I clicked on took me to the purchasing page for the subscription.
Please just be honest, it’s not hard.

1: if someone has to give you their card information to then receive the “free” week again it’s not free. Free under any sales understanding would mean there is nothing someone has to do in order to receive said product or service.

2: not all subscriptions work like this, in fact many provide the free week first or limited features of the app and then require payment to continue forward. You on the other hand require payment information and a confirmation of purchase of said subscription to receive the “free” week. Which then at that point they could cancel anytime to not be charged.

3: deception doesn’t always involve a lie, it can involve trickery which leads people to believe one thing and in actuality you are saying another. At no point in your app description do you mention this. You mention how someone will be charged once in the subscription but not any of the other important details of this process.

A free week is included to annual subscription, if you cancel your subscription during this period, you will not be charged money - this is how AppStore subscriptions work. I don't understand what exactly seems to be a lie to you - you need a subscription to use the application, which we honestly write about.
