Creepy robotic voice
Don't waste your time or money on this app. There is no way that the voice speaking is a real human being yet alone a native from Iceland. It also lets you try a few words then prompts you to purchase the app. Absolute fail!!
not what I was expecting
I was disappointed because the voice that speaks the word to you in Icelandic is a computerized voice. It does not sound natural, so I dont feel like I am learning how to say the words the way an Icelandic person would. The inflection, etc., is difficult to discern when a computer voice is doing the talking. I would not have bought it if I had known that. :0(

Helpful to a point
This is a useful app for anyone wanting to learn basic Icelandic words and phrases but anything beyond that (how to use tenses of verbs, etc.) is a no go.
Useful, but needs pronunciation sounds
Overall this app is useful and has lots of words and phrases. I only gave 3 of 5 stars because many of the sections don't have sound to hear how the words are pronounced. It would be 5 stars if ALL sections provided Icelandic spoken words.
Helpful if traveling in Iceland, not so much for actually learning
There are no worksheets that teach you actual words, or exercises to learn grammar or other fundamentals. If you are traveling in Iceland and you need a quick reference guide, look no further. If you actually want to learn the language, this app isn't for you. Wish I had known this when I bought it.
