About
Kana Quest teaches hiragana and katakana.
It opens on a gojuon chart: seion, dakuon, handakuon, and yoon, with hiragana and katakana side by side. Tap a character to hear it, watch each stroke, or write it yourself. A yoon splits into a large character and a small one. You write the large one first.
Guides are dashed. What you write is a solid line. Too short, backwards, or a bad start: it tells you what to fix.
Four games practice the characters you have seen:
Whack: hear the sound, then hit the mole holding that kana. A wrong hit bounces off.
Match: line up three of the same and they clear.
Link: hiragana on top, katakana below. Connect the same sound.
Find: see one script, tap the other in the grid.
Every round keeps your speed and your misses. Characters you miss, or are about to forget, come back more often.
