Sound is blocked when ringer is off

Thanks Andrew for the info. With the ringer on, the sound occurs as expected. The app is very useful for conjugation.

There's actually a feedback link in the profile section of the app (a bit buried down at the bottom). There you can send direct feedback and we can chat via email if you'd like. To help with your issues at hand. You actually can turn off the listening type questions down at the bottom of the settings in the Questions section the toggle is called "Listening Conjugation Questions." The thing with the listening questions, is that they only work if your phone isn't on silent mode. I plan to make this a setting within the app so this problem doesn't happen. Just what I need but broken

This is exactly what I was looking for but one of the quiz pages often comes up as 4 multiple choice answers with no text on any answer and a symbol that looks like I should be able to tap on it to hear something, but no sound emerges. The result is that there is no way to know which of the 4 is correct. If this worked correctly or if I could disable this one type of quiz, I would be pretty happy with this app.

There does not seem to be anyway to contact the developers through their website so I guess I need to do this bug report through a review. Oh well.
