Not worthy a single penny. First they used unpopular words which will not add any value ,

Great
Great start to learning Somali. Voice notes as well to help pronunciation.
Expensive
Not enough phrases. Doesn't even have basic ones like "what is your name?" games are good way to learn but really not even the basics. Can at least count now.
It renders itself useless after a month
If you really want to study the language, this app will not help you after 1 month. Basically it's nothing more than flash cards with pictures and sound, something you can build for free with gflash+ or study blue. The only part that is somewhat useful are the quizzes, but again, you can build all that with the other two apps. This app needs to be updated with more words, more sentences, etc. If you use this app, you can basically say a few phrases and spit out some words, so in the end you'll sound like a toddler speaking Somali.

Cool app and all but it's time for an update and expand the vocabulary it's been over a year nothing added
Does what it describes n fun
Wish it had more basic phrases.only has 2. The country names really don't need to be there.used it 2 days but love the games.the lady speaking on it doesnt sound like an ethnic Somali tbh.the man is though.have seen there is a little bar down below on first screen. I think as the arrow on the bar moves up,i think it should gradually add more phrases. Well it should do for the price!

Slim but useful
I'm learning Somali so I can communicate with medical patients. uTalk Somali gives a very limited vocabulary but presents it in an ideal way. Pick from 9 categories of words, then Word Practice. Clicking an English word or phrase plays an audio clip. There are two voices (male and female). You can click a microphone button to hear the word, then record your voice saying it. Speaker and playback buttons let you hear the native speaker, then your recorded voice, for comparison. Word games let you practice your comprehension. EuroTalk is open to suggestions for new words and seems poised to expand the vocabulary significantly.
