Hey, I am learning Mexican Spanish, and I want to know if this app is in that dialect.
How I Love This So Much
I love it
No way to turn off background music in paid app
There’s no way to turn off the very loud, very distracting background music in the paid version of the app. When I tap on the “sound off” option, as well as when I tap on the music note with the line through it (that indicates you want the music turned off), it does nothing. My daughter can’t even use the app because of this. It’s too distracting.

The app keeps playing music even if you set the setting off

The app will not open. I’ve deleted the app & reinstalled it numerous times & it will not open.

We can’t get the app to play. The home screen keeps repeating eflash apps.
It’s free because there’s not much to it!
Very limited. Just the names of a few dozen items. Ok in it’s way but it is hardly going to make you fluent as there is no grammar, just a smallish list of nouns. I was amused to notice that I was asked for I nickname when entering this review and I suggested “unsatisfied” but it was already taken. I then tried dissatisfied and it was attended too, not satisfied was also taken. So was not good enough! And poor!

Caribbean Vacation
I vacation in the Caribbean pretty often and this app has proven to be an invaluable reference to lookup words and expressions. I like that it functions completely offline so I don’t have to worry about getting wacked with overseas data rates.
One feature I tried for the first time is attaching notes and photos to dictionary entries. I didn’t really see the use of that until my last trip.
I had a delicious dish in a restaurant with plantains and decided to write the name of it in the annotations for « plantains » in the dictionary. I took a picture and attached that too. Then I asked the waitress to pronounce the name of the dish and attached that to the dictionary entry as well.
I have done it for a lot on words now so the app is full of vacation memories. Fun!
The app comes with a good phrasebook as well. It gets you through most situations like getting around, hotels, making friends. It could be a bit bigger but you can add your own phrases which is useful. I don’t have any other language apps that let me add things.

Idk if the developers just won’t read the reviews but so far I have complained that the app is not working correctly. Please fix this already!!!
Great for Language development in young children
I appreciate the fun the 2-3 year old children from Spanish speaking families have with this app that I see as a Speech Therapist. Great for improving their attention, motivation to interact with me or a parent and to develop their understanding and expression of vocabulary!

My son loves this app but it keeps crashing and no update available!
Best Spanish Learning App!!
I had my 2 1/2 y/o daughter use this app everyday for 10 minutes or more and her Spanish was doing amazing! I had to reset her iPad and lost all apps on it including this one and I couldn’t remember the name of it and I was so sad I thought it was gone. I just found it again today and we are both happy that I did! This app gets 5 stars!!!
