Useful listening app
I was looking for something that gave me some Spanish dialogue that I could practice listening and understanding and that wasn't so long that I was behind in the comprehension.This fit the bill for me. I think you need some Spanish knowledge as there is no grammar explanation. Try SpanishSOLO for that. I like the graphics and the content. Very useful for where I am right now with my Spanish.

Je n'ai qu'une leçon de faites et je suis impressionnée par la qualité du produit! Très bien conçu pour travailler tous les aspects de l'apprentissage de la langue : lu, on s'enregistre et compare avec leur enregistrement; compréhension du contenu, on l'écrit et ça nous corrige!!!! etc. Très "user friendly". Je suis emballée!
Se serait un gros atout de d'avoir un bouton pour ralentir le dialogue afin de mieux entendre la prononciation.
Et le vidéo au début est beaucoup trop long... Ce serait bien de pouvoir passer outre.

Not for kids. Good but a little expensive for adults
If this app was developed by the ACTFL, why was it not made kid-friendly? Or why is there not a children's version? At least some of the characters should be children. Show the formal-informal interactions between adults and children. I teach Spanish to 8-10-year-olds, and WILL NOT buy any lessons for them from this app.
I have a smart board with an iPad connection, and was hoping to show them some dialogues. Oh, well.

Good teaching methodology and great value app
Having purchased a number of language learning courses, I found the Hello-Hello Spanish app to be a great value. Comparing this app to the Rosetta Stone CD on which I spent several hundred dollars, I was very pleased to see such a thoughtful approach to language learning right on my iPad and for a much better price.
Having the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages participate in the development of this app gives me comfort that I am learning Spanish in a way that languages are taught. The fact that this app has been developed in conjunction with language learning experts is quite apparent as you go through the lessons and look at the methodology.
There are 30 in-depth lessons with full conversations. These conversations are then taught sentence-by-sentence. Then, the main words is these sentences are taught along with a number of words that are similar to that word. In addition to lessons, the flashcards are nicely presented and further reinforce words...

The app is lively
Thanks for this wonderful app for learning Spanish. The app is interactive and lively, never let you get bore. The lessons are rich in content. I am happy to find this app, its a real Spanish language course app.
Teaching process is excellent
The app uses some of the excellent features to teach Spanish language. I am impressed with the use of animated lessons, synchronised text and audio, record and check progress and word games.
Rip off
I bought version 1 of this app years ago for $9.99 and it came with multiple levels of lessons. I hadn't used it in a year and ran the update to get the latest version thinking the update would be better. Boy was I wrong. I now have only one lesson and they want to charge me another $14.99 to get my old content back. Rip off! What about the original customers that supported this app? You should have accounted for original purchasers of the app. I should not have lost my lessons that I paid for. :-(

I wasn't expecting much when I tried out this app but I loved learning and enjoyed the way the lessons were presented that I ended buying the full version. Great investment.
