Terrible broken interaction

When you are saying a word or phrase with to have it evaluated by AI for accuracy, you get no response. The rating from 1 to 10 never happens. It simply goes to the next word or phrase forever.. This occurs within several of the apps features. It has no evaluation scoring to the ‘test’. I don’t know what is wrong with the app. Maybe it’s a glitch, but I tried several times after reinstalling and it was the same for myself and for other family members who tried it. Also the huge ‘Translator’ app banner ads are ridiculously taking half of the screen to where it looks as if it’s a requirement for the app

Reading and Writing don’t match

I have been working on my reading but there is a vast difference between what is written and what is read!

For example, “I need a those files on my desk today”. The example was written “ฉันต้องการไฟล์เหล่านั้นบนโต๊ะของ ฉันวันนี้”, but was phonetically written as “/Chan-Tong-Garn-Akegasarn-Puak-
Nun-Wannee/“, but the only the first few words match and it’s something way different when the narrator says it out loud. The translated meaning matched, but the reading, writing, and speaking didn’t line up. It’s a bad tool for people looking to learn all aspects of the language.

Limited Learning

This app only offers female voice and female pronunciation there are different responses or pronunciations if your a man so it’s a disappointing app

Good idea

But not picking up words pronounced correct. I was having problems so had a friend native speaker try and they scored 4 🤣🤣🤣 not sure if its mic on my phone but its new iphone lol

Teaches you Thai for females

This app is really good don’t get me wrong but for the simple fact that you can’t change it to the male version is really annoying as I have to keep remembering which words need to be changed. When I first learnt this I didn’t realise until I was told later on, so I had to relearn a lot of the phrases. I have put 1 star in the hopes that this will be noticed and they can fix it or let me know if I am being stupid and they already have the setting to change it and I just can’t find it.

Female only

Only female voicing language — she’s using female-speaker ending “ka” — with no way to change to male speaker using male-speaker ending “krop”. Therefore its use by men is not suggested.

Best you’ll get for free

Going to Thailand for a trip, just looking for the absolute basics (the rest will be hand gestures). This app is perfect for that
