Could be simplified
E.g: 'May I please have a glass of water' is way too long of a phrase to learn for a weekend traveler who just wants to get by and be quickly understood in travel scenarios. It would be much more useful if they offered shorter abbreviated phrases e.g.: 'water, please?' which is more practical. Obviously in addition to the formal, grammatically correct version for those who want to take it further.
