Great app and some recommendations
This is a great app for reading/listening to books and I got some recommendations for this app to make it better
1: Dark Mode - WE NEED IT!!!
2: Bug - Some books had a rendering problem with images kinda like screen tearing.
3: iOS 26 icon - it’s nice
4: Dark icon iOS: nice for late nights
5: Full Chromebook Support Android - my school preloads this one the chromebooks
6: Short Name - Learning Ally is the short name

Can you even do this
So this app is great in all but literally I’m listening to it and reading the same book at the same time. And all of a sudden the reader just decides to go off script and put in or take out as many words as they want. Like are you even allowed to do that? So I’m reading Mao’s last dancer and in the book it says “As we were about to land in Chicago.” (which is the start of chapter 18 filthy capitalist America) and in the audiobook, it literally says “ our plane began to descend through thick cloud we were about to land in Chicago.” like bro get your story, right.

I like this app. But sometimes its glitchs like it wont remember my bookmark and start reading at the top of a chapter.
Best app ever.
This app got me into the My Weird School fandom. Those books are amazing. I also like reading Wings of Fire! And I also like reading The Inheritance Cycle. I’d never thought I’d admit this but this app is actually just as good as Epic! Thanks for making this app! (I just hope nobody bashes my opinion for this review.) I wish you all the power of Wings of Fire! (It’s 2026 so I had to change some mistakes I had no idea that my username was numberblocksarethebest until now haha)

The idea & intent is wonderful but app is terrible
The concept of this is great. I try using all the time. However, the app is so awful we often give up. It skips back to a previously read section, if your phone goes into lock mode that’s it…it won’t play again for awhile, and you cannot manipulate the controls to decide where you want to begin the reading. It’s extremely frustrating.

Learning ally
I’ve been using this app since I was in 6 grade I’m in second year college. This app single handily got me to read again! But this app is rough it will randomly start and stop and skip and go back a lot. But still I think it’s very useful and simple to use would recommend if you looking to read a lot of classics.

This app is great when i get fr8m school i go straight on it. I love it but some if the books i like dont have it on here i like the books warrior cats and wing of fire, mostly just animal books! My whole family loves reading! Me and my sis have this app because we need it lol. This is so great!!

This app is the worst app that you could be using which school can see which books are you reading?
Excellent way for a poor reader to have independent access to books that are age level or higher!
The reader follows along with the highlighted text and can tap in unknown vocabulary words to see the definition. One improvement would be to have that word and definition read allowed as well. The book choices are amazing and most of the voices are done as well as actors would read. We have loved LA for six years!

So bad
If I’m being honest, every time I had to flip a page it freezes and I always have to reset my phone so it gets back to the point but by the time I finish resetting my phone, it makes me reset like 30 pages back. Worst learning all audiobooks ever would not recommend.

The series Stargate universe should be added. Also, this series is hyper space high should be added as well. there are six books in the series
Good for most
It is good but doesn’t have a lot of books for 5th grade and above.
Best for dyslexics
Learning ally allowed me to see the words and read them myself and be able to hear the pronunciation of the words to correct myself.
It’s great, but you need to add more books.
Can you please add the Loop by Ben Oliver, because it should be on the app.

Only A Few Issues
In my opinion, Learning Ally is really great. The app is easy to use. I think the notes thing is really useful, especially for those who like to summarize a book. Although I think that there should be an option where you can select to listen from a specified place to another, in contrast to manually pausing. The only real problem I've encountered is that in order to even read you need a subscription, but if you're a student in the U.S. then you probably already have said subscription and only need to log in using your school email. Another thing is that the books don't save progress between devices, like of I listen from page 25 to 84 in "Percy Jackson" on my computer whilst working, then when I go to my phone whilst traveling, I'm still going to be on page 25. The final problem I've noticed is that sometime when you're listening to an audio book on your phone while doing something else, after a "long" time, it glitches out and stop completely. When this happens I have to go manually to my phone, the press the last piece of text I heard in order for it to keep reading the book to me. Other than these problems, I really haven't seen anymore. So if you like reading or are a student who likes to read, then definitely download this app.
