Too slow paced, crashed a lot

I signed up for a 7 day trial and that same day I got charged a year subscription for the program. I thought maybe I would keep it. The page crashed a lot. The activities are way too slow of a pace. This generation sadly expects electronics to go at a faster speed or they lose interest. It doesn’t allow you to skip pages or make the story telling go faster. I got bored going through it with my kids myself. Maybe this could be beneficial for children starting to speak. Not for elementary school aged children. Cool graphics though!

I can see you have an older legacy account, which explains both issues. It predates our backend migration and didn't sync properly (that's what caused the crashes). It also means Apple didn't see a new customer, so it started the plan rather than opening a second trial. The 7-day trial is for new accounts only. Email support@fabulingua.com and we'll sync your account and give you longer to trial the app properly (emailing us always gets you the fastest resolution). FabuLingua is built for elementary-age children learning Spanish as a second language. Stories designed for second language acquisition are delivered slower than stories in a child's native language, especially at the outset. However, you can open Settings on each page to speed up the reading. If your child already understands Spanish, switching off the translations in Settings speeds it up further. Pages don't skip in the student view, since the child needs to follow the narrative to learn the language. (Teachers can skip pages in the Teacher Dashboard.) For anyone concerned about the waning attention span of this generation: learning a second language is one of the better antidotes to the bite-sized media they're accustomed to. Research links it to real gains in focus and attention. Glad the art landed, we work hard to keep that magical feel of childhood stories!

So much fun for my kids!

I’m loving that they’re having so much fun learning Spanish! I feel good about their screen time being so wholesome and them learning so much. 💕

Good but not

I may only be young and still eat macaroni for dinner, but my mom makes me do this and i hate how the storys are so long!!! :( it takes so long to get past the first thing and the el/la mini game is so hard :(((( and when you read it, it is really boring cuz it makes you do it in little chunks and it is so boring :[ i like the frogs though!

Spanish teachers

As a Spanish teacher, I absolutely love FabuLingua! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
FabuLingua makes learning Spanish fun, engaging, and interactive. I especially love how the stories, games, and activities help students learn vocabulary and understand Spanish in a natural way.
My students enjoy using it, and I love having a resource that keeps them motivated while they are learning. It is a great tool to complement Spanish lessons and encourage students to practice outside of class.
I highly recommend FabuLingua to Spanish teachers and families looking for a fun and effective way to help children learn Spanish! 💛

Beautiful but a little slow for a 4-5 year old.

This was really cute but it’s a little slow for a younger kid with a shorter attention span. Although I think it could be effective the Spanish is spoken first and then the English leaving the last phrase in mind in English. Maybe if your kiddo already reads and is older I think this would be a useful app

Can’t get past registration

Downloaded the app, selected “explore” so I could look at it. Selected my avatar, entered my email and password, but cannot get beyond the screen because no controls are shown. Cannot scroll to see if they are below the fields. On iPhone 16 pro. IOS 26.5.2

Greedy

I cannot access even one story unless I pay

App

Really cool!

Can’t log in

Tried setting up the account using my AppleID passcode. An in-app browser opens to get set-up but after entering my passcode nothing happens. Browser stays blank and when I close it I’m not logged in. Unsubscribed and uninstalled. If it’s a hassle to even get set-up I’m not going to bother with the rest.

Can’t even log into to set it up

Tried using the logon with Apple option. It just goes in a circle of death opening a web browser logon in the app then back to the app that doesn’t work. It’s unusable. You also have to agree to pay before it’ll let you even get to that point. No thanks.

Beautiful and crazy effective for pronunciation - my kids love it

My Spanish is bad, but my 5 yr old and 7 year old started playing the game on a recent road trip, and their Spanish accents are so good now. I’m shocked! Plus, they still want to play all the time 4 months later. They are motivated by earning tons of keys as they read the stories and do the little games. CopyCat is their favorite.

Functionality

Not very user friendly it’s a kids game and I can’t figure out how to play

Requires purchase before even seeing the app?!!

Scammers wants money before you know what the app has to offer , don’t fall fir it

Trial requires credit card

I downloaded the app because the description said you can try a story for free. I was able to click the button to “explore”, pick an avatar and a nickname, and then it went into a looping ad (that you can’t back out of) to promote their 7 day free trial - just put in your payment info so they can charge you automatically when the trial ends if you didn’t cancel it first. The app might be great, but I won’t be finding that out.

Response from developer

We understand the hesitation around free trials that ask for a payment method. Apple requires a payment method on file to start any subscription free trial, but you can cancel anytime in your App Store subscriptions before day 7 so you are not charged. FabuLingua does not receive your card details. Apple handles all billing. We also hear you on the “try a story for free” wording. We are updating our store copy in our next update and improving the trial flow to make it clearer and more parent friendly. If you have any questions or want help confirming your subscription status, please reach us at support@fabulingua.com.

Glitchy and not great for little learners

App is very glitchy and doesn’t consider natural development for little learners in the length or content of lessons. There is also too much freedom to bounce around to different lessons and no real cohesiveness.

The best Spanish app for kids

This is the best thing out there! Fun and easy for kids to use!
