WASTE of time!!

This app just compiles listings from lease swap and Craigslist. The Craigslist postings are all obviously fake or have been taken down. And bedrooms in shared apartments are shown to you as studios or 1 bedrooms. So much garbage to sift through. You’re better off just going on lease swap, where the listings can be filtered more accurately, or going on Craigslist where, even though you have to sift through obvious scams, at least you don’t waste your time on already taken down listings.

Updated App! Effective Feedback

Had a great chat with the dev. yesterday, who has implemented multiple of my ideas into the app to simplify and make the UI more effective. Excited to see the future of this project.

SCAM! Locked out.

After I updated the app my account was logged out of and there is no possibility to log in (immediately prompting the register screen, which I have already used my phone number on). Mind you, this is after paying $25 excl. tax to even view the listings, which I haven’t received responses for. This app is spaghetti-code with credits to ChatGPT and (unlikely) some Stack Overflow. A better way to spend your time and money is to burn it - these people are wasting your precious time in one of the most competitive rental markets in the world, actively exploiting an already vulnerable group of renters.

A breath of fresh air

I’m tired of crowded open houses and bait-and-switch rental ads. This app understands how people find great deals on housing in the city. The best apartments never hit the market to begin with, they’re just passed on to friends or acquaintances.

For renters, this app is a powerful tool to get ahead of the market and find that great apartment before anyone else does!

Great App for apartment in NYC

Leaseswap is a game changer for finding apartments in NYC! The app is easy to use and has a great selection of listings that you won't find anywhere else (posted from the tenants themselves looking to move out). I especially love the notifications for new listings—they make it so much easier to stay on top of the market. I recommend for anyone looking to rent in the city.

Unresponsive Users!

I have been using this app for about a week now and after sending out 8 e-mails/in-app messages, no one replied. I can understand this being the case for listings that are under the legacy status, but ones that were made a couple days ago? I feel like I wasted my money completely. Do not make the same mistake and avoid buying the subscription and even downloading!

Wait until people outside NYC discover this :(

please work on a feature to only share access to people with a current five borough-based or New Jersey-based address, or limit the size of the marketplace in another way; at a certain point, it will just be the same problem all over again, where there are not enough apartments for anyone looking for one in NYC.

Vastly over priced

I understand the point of your app is to save people money in the long run but let’s be real this app is utter garbage. You made a listing rental app and I can’t even filter by the number of bedrooms, budget, anything 0 filters. Very inefficient. App is worth $3. If you want to charge premium prices offer premium features. Would like a refund please.

still feels exclusive

Tenants post their listings here before they go back on the rental market, so I was able to find a spot pretty easily. The alerts work for all the big rental websites, so I don't have to stalk Craigslist anymore yahooooo

Very Useful for crazy nyc housing

I’ve used this app to find a new apartment and it has helped me a HUGE amount. You can find some hidden gems on here.

I reccomend paying for full access cause you can really find some good deals. The deals will pay for the cost of the subscription
