It already lagged i was testing to before buying the full game. I pressed on at the fighter stayed at 99% loading for 5 mins. I tried to restart app samething

Bro, this game is not that good and you have to pay for it if they made it free I think they would earn more money than just people downloading it and then deleting it cause they gotta pay

Good game but..

Really good game love it bought the full version only thing that is a problem for me is all the tabs and stuff is a lot but as I play more it’s become less difficult would love for this game to come to steam or on laptop/pc in general really good game overall can’t wait for future updates best boxing manager on IOS I’ve seen so far

Few suggestions

I think it would be interesting to add a psychological factor in a fight where a fighter is intimidated by another fighter were their ability lowers or can’t get their “gear working”. This can be done by adding a fear factor as a natural trait or natural build up, based on your performance and the fighters that you have beaten or even a undefeated record or a long win streak.

I also think that their should be a fan base for a fighter like a number that increases and even the stadiums of how people attend the fight because the appeal aspect is subjective without any real implication. I also think the betting odds in also interesting.

I think in a fight the concept of low blows and point dedication would be nice (this can work in aspect of the interaction between the two styles fighting each other and their ability to use a specific punch) maybe even controversial scorecards from the judges were they appeal to the fighter who is the favourite (linking back to the betting odds).

Maybe adding more rounds like 15 or 20 has in the exhibition this could work on fight difficulty or a different era such as a 100 years ago their was no rule of a fighter going to the neutral corner after a knock down.

Longest win streak
Most top 10 top 3 opponents beaten
Most years rated top 10 top 3 (year by year)

These are a few suggestions on top of my head of course this is up to you, but I think feedback is important because the developer may get a few ideas that they may have never thought of.

I am considering factoring in things like low-blows, accidental head-butts, etc, it's just finding a way to add them in that doesn't unbalance the game. The betting odds thing isn't something I'm going to get involved with as they're tremendously difficult to calculate properly for authenticity, plus in certain territories where gambling is prohibited Leather would end up getting banned for just featuring it...I'm going to play it safe in that regard.

I really enjoy this boxing game but i would love an update!

Good game until they pull the rug out

Had a lot of fun playing the game, but nowhere did it say you could only play 1 year of your career on the lite version. Was really enjoying it and then they want $5 to continue.. maybe $1 but not a chance this is worth $5

Edit: it doesn’t say anything about being limited to 1 year until after you have downloaded. Also whoever responds to the reviews for this company is rude, not only on my review but on most of these.

Hi there. The Lite version permits managerial careers of 1 year, whereas the full version has no limits.

Honest Personal Review

So, I won’t mimic everyone’s reviews about how you can build a gym/team the way you want and all of the ins and outs of the game. I agree with 95% of what I read after downloading and playing the game.

My review is more just about how I appreciate a game centered on just boxing. As a fan of both Boxing and MMA I can understand why people would want this developer to make a MMA game. But after reading their responses about how they’re a bigger fan of Boxing and wouldn’t do the MMA game justice I’m glad I saw that. Personally, I prefer boxing to mma by a wide margin. To me boxing seems like more of a SPORT. It’s a combat sport for sure, but in boxing with the standing 8 count I feel like it’s based more to show off your skills at the sport of boxing. While I wouldn’t equate mma to “human cockfighting”, it definitely seems more barbaric as the ref is only there to stop one guy from killing the other. Add that with the long drawn out times on the ground and it becomes less about sport and more about just hurting people. No MMA fight can compare to something like Ward Vs Gatti 1 in my opinion. And for a developer to stick to just boxing is something I applaud

Thanks for the review. The money-hunting side of me wants to learn more about MMA to produce the equivalent game for it, however considering just how long it took me to build Leather I think it's a complete non-starter, plus building the updates to this alone is quite the effort, never mind adding more onto my plate. For me boxing has always been easier to just "get".

Hi there. The Lite version is limited to a one year managerial career, whereas the full version has no limits. The availability of quality amateurs is purely down to chance - truly great ones will surface every-so-often. The recruitment lists are always sorted in order of the better amateurs at the top, so if you've not found someone you like in the top couple then move on to the next weight division, as they'll get worse the further you go down the list.

This is a fantastic game and I love how it’s put together but is there any chance we get a pc release? It’s a bit hard to navigate on mobile

Hi there, thanks for the review. I'm planning on a PC version, however I'm at the mercy of Microsoft's app tooling to allow me to port it over, and until they release their next version of the toolkit (due next year, apparently) I can't do anything just yet. I'm hoping to get something out before the end of 2022.

A definite “Sign Me Up”

I’m a huge fan of sports games but many of them requires me to play the game with other real life players (which I avoid those games). So it’s quite rare to find a single player sports game. But when I found this game and downloaded the game, I didn’t regret it. My favorite thing about the game that it is simple to learn the ins and outs of the game within a couple of minutes. Another thing that I love about the game is that you can play the game as you want to. If you want to build up a gym out of $10,000 dollars, you can, if you want to have a game where you play as a YMCA that has 1,000,000,000 but only one boxer but a boatload of staff, you can too. I also wish that the creator of the game would release something like this but it would be based on MMA. Overall, I really love the game and I have no doubt that I will download the full version.

Thanks King Edward. I've had a few people ask me about the possibility of making an MMA version, however I'm not much of an MMA fan, so I don't really understand the strategy and tactics surrounding the sport - I doubt I could do it justice. I also think a proper MMA game would require a team of combat experts to form the fight engine correctly; as one guy I can make a boxing game, but I think you need a blend of martial arts disciplines to make a similar level of MMA game.

Does your progress convert to the full version

I love this game and have had a blast with the first year at first I had a bug where I couldn’t hire more than one coach but that got fixed. I wanted to know if there was a way to convert my save file from the lite version to the full version, if so I will definitely get the full version.

Hi there, thanks for the review. I'm afraid if I did that it wouldn't provide much motivation for many players to buy the full game. As a one-man operation I rely on sales of Leather to pay my bills, which in the current pandemic-world is obviously something of a challenge.

Better than expected

I’m more of an mma fan but I’m always looking for new sports simulations. I only have the free version but it feels like a complete game compared to most other mobile sports simulators. Simple but deep. Fast moving and enjoyable through a few hours now

Game breaking bug before I even signed my first boxer

I sent my first boxer a contract offer and advanced time.

He declined and requested a counter offer

I countered his counter offer, and now the game is broke.

It won’t let me advance time because I “still have a contract request” ... and I can’t modify my counter offer because it’s already submitted...

Edit: in response to the dev response, there is a definitely a bug. I’ll email screenshots.

It will only prevent you continuing the game if you have outstanding tasks to perform - have you gone into the negotiation screen and submitted the counteroffer?
