The Red, Amber Blue pop-up warning is incomprehensible. Whoever signed off on it should be embarrassed. It is unclear, vague and comes with a 14-year jail sentence threat. Lovely. Welcome to 1984. This app has no good purpose
Besides those we arenāt allowed to talk about.
Canāt turn off the password request
Itās supposed to have a settings button to āenableā the password function. And that doesnāt appear.
Otherwise I despise this app and itās implementation into the culture of this city. That we are still doing this and there is no plan to take it down in site yet is completely ridiculous.

Pretty good app
I donāt understand the low ratings this app receives. It worked flawlessly for the 3 weeks that I was in Hong Kong and did its job well.

There is no point in this app
Just stop being over cautious about it already, the whole world is living normally now and here you still use this QR code system to spy on people rather than caring about their safety. It seems this is a good tool to make āproblematicā people locked in their homes with red QR code assigned by the order from above, it was already seen in China not very long ago

the new update made some peopleās codes say invalid even though they were according to regulations, because of a glitch. HOW DARE they stop people from entering places because they couldnāt code something right. sick of hong kong. this is absolutely disgraceful.
Whatās the point?
The whole world in latter half of 2022 is moving on with opening up to the world, when omnicron variant symptom is similar to a common flu.
For HK gov to continue insist on contact tracing not only deter any visitors coming to HK (aside from the unscientific 3+7 or 0+7 or 0+3), it also proves to be a big inconvenience for any folks in HK.
This app is a giant waste of resources, time, money better spent elsewhere.

I only have it because Iām forced to use it
Almost 3 years of this clown show. I canāt wait for the day when I can delete this utterly pointless tracking app from my phone and forget it even existed.

As audited and reported by 7ASecurity, this app seriously violated the privacy of users and the gathered info can be stolen be hacker easily

It does not take vaccinations done outsider of Hong Kong into account. As a result, my third shot done in HK is considered as the first shot. Now, this app just shows that I havenāt met the requirement for accessing anything.

Overall good app, but Leave Now button is misleading
I love this appās ease of use. I started using it when it first came out and it has been stable. There are a few things I wish worked better.
For example, the Leave Now button doesnāt allow you to leave immediately. It brings you to a second screen, where you can view yr vaccination code and choose Leave Now, or āLeft Already.ā One time I had to bring up my vaccination code quickly to get scanned and I didnāt know to press the Leave Now button to retrieve it. The button label should be renamed or maybe the first screen can have 2-3 buttons.
Most restaurants have devices set up, so you can have yr vaccination code scanned before entering. However, this has only worked 15% of the time. The devices seem to have trouble reading my code. Seems to need manual refocusing. Repositioning my phone does not always work.
Lastly, a nice to have is if the app worked with apple watch. Particularly the leave function. I almost always forget to press leave or my hands are full when the reminder comes on on my watch. The leave automatically function only has hourly intervals, which can make yr stay much longer than actual duration.

Family members that donāt have a mobile phone!
The app should also include family membersā vaccination records because children and the elderly donāt have a mobile phone! HK government should model Singaporeās TraceTogether app! It is a great app!
