Installed the 4 piece added the grill and wheel openings. 2019 VW Beetle Conv. Super clean install, 8 hrs. I have a lift, removed all wheels, all wire ties and hidden, I used Alein tape and a outdoor silicone dabbed

Waste of money
Hasn’t worked since I hit This installed for 120” smh
The app is to old
Instead of selling your product stay up to date with a new app. It’s to old and not user friendly
Works okay most times
So I have had mine for 2 years and it works most of the time, except when I go into gas station and take my phone , they start blinking, then I have to shut them off and turn back on. Sometime some are a different color when in a solid one color. Very irritating.
Best Brand!
Only thing is I wish I didn’t have to open the app to have the lights work, but other than that the app works fine and the brand is the best!

Can not get any of our phones to connect at all
Bluetooth connectivity stinks
This thing should not be issue, but because they had to make connectivity complicated, I’m stuck with no app use, which is very annoying since it was the thing most important to me about the product. The lights work fine though. But connect to Bluetooth before you install it.

Chill Addition To Life
So I got these lights and bam they are dope as crap. People talking about the app but it seems fine to me and it’s 08/18/2023 working completely fine on my 14 Pro Max. This app and the lights are better than my last one from Amazon! Like way better, more control over the lights and individual sections which the other didn’t have at all. Yeah it’s kind of annoying not having it save your lights color but hey it’s whatever will deal with it I guess, still like the product.

Wish you could save whatever light color you have so you don’t have to change them everytime you get on app again you can click a button and it’s already there and my Bluetooth disconnects from the module all the time so I have to disconnect the module and reconnect pretty annoying and no it’s not my battery or connections I have brand new battery and new terminals

The hardware is good, if a little expensive.
If Siri Shortcuts were added so you could turn the lights on / off with your voice it would be amazing .

I’m reviewing the entire underglow light kit on here as well as the app since they deleted my honest review on their website a while ago…
Disconnection Issue: I had so many issues with this app. It might’ve been the module, but the app kept constantly disconnecting from my lights. whats worse is the bad design of the module. basically, because theres no “bluetooth pairing mode” button, what u have to do is physically open your hood, and disconnect the module from the battery and reconnect it. considering the fact that it would disconnect every few weeks makes it such a pain to get something so simple as LED lights to work.
App not Updated for a While: the fact that this app hasnt been updated in over 2 years for bug fixes/improvements is a huge red flag considering the company is still in business to this day. XK Glow has their software updated every few months or so and their bugs get fixed, just read the reviews and bug fix section. Also, personal preference, but the app feels outdated, like it was made in the 2010’s and the user interface was never updated since. It gives off a vibe of cheap-ness.
The Actual Lights: the lights weren’t super great either. They were LED’s encased in thin plastic which isnt a great design choice for the underbody of a car which can get damaged by rocks or debris in the road. This also means you cant bend the lights to a specific shape and theres no sticky underside. Your 2 options are to mount plastic clips which hang super low and can be easily broken off by a parking block (has happened to me) or drill holes in your plastic underside. if you have a low car, this is probably the worst kit possible to get.
The Good: the only thing i can give them is good customer service and a warranty on their lights if they get damaged. I had my module stop connecting to my phone entirely after a few months and they did replace it, but the new one stopped working after a week as well. however good customer service is the only thing they have going for this company, which isnt that useful since their product is terribly made.
