About

Left tells you one thing: what you can safely spend today. Nothing else to track, no categories to maintain — just today's number, and the confidence that your bills and savings are already covered. THE IDEA Most budgeting apps ask you to manage a system. Left asks for four numbers once — your income, your fixed costs, your pay schedule, and (optionally) how much you want to save — and then gets out of your way. Every day, it shows you exactly what's left to spend. That's the whole app. HOW IT WORKS - Set up in about 30 seconds: monthly income, fixed bills, payday schedule (weekly, biweekly, twice-monthly or monthly), and an optional savings target - Wake up to one number — what you can spend today, recalculated automatically as your pay cycle progresses - Swipe up to log a spend in seconds; tap any entry to correct it, long-press to remove it - See days remaining until your next payday at a glance SAVE WITHOUT TRYING Set a savings target once and Left quietly takes it off the top before your daily number is ever calculated. You never see it, never miss it, never have to resist spending it — it's simply not part of the number you look at. AI NUDGES, NOT GUILT TRIPS When you're ahead of pace, Left tells you what your surplus is actually worth. When you're behind, it gives you one concrete, low-effort way back to the line by payday — no lectures, no red banners. Every nudge is generated for your specific numbers, not pulled from a template. OPPORTUNITY COST INSIGHTS See what today's spending — or today's savings — is worth years from now, projected against real benchmarks (S&P 500 historical average, US 10-Year Treasury) over 5, 10 or 20 years. It's not about the coffee. It's about what small, repeated numbers become. CIRCLE — ACCOUNTABILITY WITHOUT EXPOSURE Track your streak and see how consistently you land inside your own budget, compared to other Left users — as a percentile, never as a dollar amount. Nobody sees what you spend. Only whether you hit your own number. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Everything you enter stays on your device unless you choose to turn on backup. There's no ad tracking, no data resale, no dashboard of your spending habits sitting on someone else's server. An optional account (Sign in with Apple, Google, or email) exists purely so you can restore your setup if you lose your phone — nothing else changes, and nothing is required to use the app fully. WHO LEFT IS FOR If you've tried a "real" budgeting app and abandoned it after a week because categorizing every transaction felt like a second job, Left is built for you. It trades completeness for something you'll actually keep open: one honest number, every day, forever. Supports USD and EUR at launch, with more currencies planned.
