A different kind of post-apocalypse game
One aspect of the gameplay is a simplified city builder. I like that I can be lazy and not worry about how to arrange the production layout: transportation time is not an issue. And it's up to you whether to advance quickly or slowly.
Another aspect is exploration - reveal one tile at a time and you might find a good spot for lumber or fishing, or even a forgotten town with more workers and an increased income. This is my current obsession.
I'm very happy that military defense is not an aspect of the game - while I've seen signs of bandits and pirates, I can learn and grow in peace without being attacked. (So far, at least.)
The goals/quests are all tied into the game's story, complete with illustrations. Surviving a bear fight is my favorite episode so far.
Fun game, easy to play
Game ruined by developers GREED
Well, the last update has ABSOLUTELY RUINED THIS GAME!!! The developers in their infinite stupidity and all out GREED unceremoniously DOUBLED the cost of exploring tiles. This is the key point of the game. Clicking on thousands (I’m over 35,000 tiles at this point) is the centerpiece of the game. In some cases, undiscovered tiles are costing 2.5 times what they originally cost. There is no benefit of any kind to this cash grab, no game buff, nothing! Just a cash grab. So STAY AWAY AND PROTECT YOUR WALLET!!!
