Great dictionary for my reading and research
Great App
This app is excellent for quick reference when you don’t have a dictionary handy. I also like the fact that they sometimes reference 2-3 dictionaries. Although the only downside is it does not have any definitions from Black’s Law.
As a lawyer I’m finding the app to be very beneficial!
There are lots of terms in this dictionary with very detailed explanations and examples 💯

My common law and I are currently dealing with a massive problem and without having to pay a lawyer for advice I can just look anything up I need to and it all connects to additional information that is pertinent to the searched phrase/current content and allows you to go Back to the ones you just clicked out of . Quite frankly, I felt a little strange leaving a review so quick right after using the app for only a while. However, from what I’ve seen so far the app is amazing for the price.
Let me be honest. I have been in practice for quite some time now and have collected many hard copy and iPhone legal dictionary apps since my first case. This one seems fabulous for the price.
I have always used Black’s law dictionary but I think that is going to change. Blacks law dictionary seems to use their old reputation as justification for charging $50 for an app in which this one does everything it does for $49 less ($.99 for ad free for free with ads).
Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it? Well, while downloading I thought so too. When I saw this was a free app I figured it was going to be some poorly programmed App that would eventually be deleted from my device. I was very wrong.
I intend to use this app more than any of my other legal dictionary apps. Thanks to the developers for making such an amazing App for such a low price. Best of luck to you!

It’ a dictionary and not a mess of games and quizzes
When I want a fictional I want one that is strictly business. Not one littered with a bunch of trivia, games, and ‘challenges’. I’ve been through more than one dictionary site and this one is uncluttered and to the point. I kept this one and it’s been a pleasure to use.

I’m currently in school for criminal Justice getting ready for law school and this is my holy grail. I use this anytime I don’t fully understand something. Sometimes I even use this to quiz myself before a test to make sure I know everything there is to know about the topic or word.

All downloads on TheFreeDictionary.com are Spyware free. All the software you download from our website does what it is supposed to do and nothing else.
In this statement of their website they use the word spy wear to mislead the average Joe into thinking that they do not collect any data for tracking purposes and sale for third parties but in fact they do all that and they tell you in the privacy policy that no one reads hence their play on words to infer the meaning to the ignorant. Its just sneaky
