Underrated and Awesome!
One of my all time favorites but I can’t really explain why. First of all, I’m familiar with the kingdom rush franchise but haven’t played them a whole lot. I just don’t think tower defense games are my thing, as much as I’ve tried to give them a chance. So my love for this game is not based on just being a kingdom rush fan or anything. Now, what is my thing, is tactics/grid-based combat games. But as I’ve gotten older, and have less time to actually sit down mastermind a strategy, I’ve found myself not really being able to invest the time/patience needed for most tactics games. That’s where Legends of Kingdom Rush comes in. It has everything I enjoy about a good tactics games + beautiful artwork, but is also really easy to pick up, learn, and play. Where I quit on most of these game types is I spend a lot of time learning the mechanics and getting the hang of things, go a week or two where I don’t have time to play, then struggle to pick back up where I left off and try to relearn everything again. I never had that problem with this game, it was always easy to pick up and start playing again.
My only gripe is the length, I played through all of the content pretty quickly and desperately wanted more. I really wish the dev would release a sequel to this instead of Kingdom Rush 17.
