About
Legwork keeps your relay team's vans on time.
Relay races like Hood to Coast run 24+ hours across dozens of exchanges, split between two vans that are rarely near each other and often out of cell range. Legwork replaces the group text, the paper pace chart, and the guesswork with one shared, constantly-updating picture of the race.
WHAT IT DOES
• Pace projections for every leg — enter each runner's recent time and distance once; Legwork projects their pace for every leg of the course, adjusted for that leg's real elevation profile and forecast heat.
• Two numbers, one purpose — "early" tells your van when to leave for the next exchange, with enough buffer that you're never the reason a runner stands alone at a handoff. "best" is the unbiased estimate, for finish-time planning.
• Works without signal — Legwork syncs directly between nearby phones over Bluetooth, so your van's data stays current even in dead zones. When you're back in range, everything reconciles automatically.
• Built for the exchange, not the office — the handoff recorder is built for one-handed use in a headlamp-lit parking lot: an exchange, a tap, done.
• Roster and role assignment — assign legs, vans, and roles (captain, van lead, runner) before race day so every phone already knows the plan.
Legwork was designed and pace-model-tested against real Hood to Coast course and elevation data.
Requires an internet or Bluetooth connection to sync between devices; core race functions work offline once your team's roster is loaded.
