Charged 3 times
Hello, I think I was accidentally charged 3 times.. once for 2.99 that went through immediately- once for 3.27 that is pending and once for 7.65 which is also pending. It doesn’t specify where form it just says Apple but they all came through at the same time 12:55-12:57 a.m.
I’m not sure how to reach the merchant about this issue, but other than that, helpful app so far!

Love this app for the visuals. Makes teaching dof much easier. Any chance you could extend field size above 35mm to 120, 4x5, 8x10, etc?
No More Guessing on Depth of Field!
Wonderful app. I’ve used it now for several years and I love it. If you want to know FOR SURE what portion of your photo is going to be in focus, this is the best app to see how changes will affect your depth of field.
One great discovery was that by going wider, you get more depth of field. Since many current cameras have high megapixel counts, cropping some of an image off of “the sides” is not an issue.

New improvements = a great app
The new functionality that changes the granularity of your slider movement as you move vertically is very helpful, and mitigates a long-standing issue I had with this app. I just hope that this enhancement is easily discoverable for new users!

I've added accuracy to the sliders. If you move your finger vertically while sliding, you can be much more precise in your values.
Good but for inaccuracies
Depth of field of a lens is determined by focal length, aperture and distance to subject. It is not however dependant upon sensor size. This app changes the depth of field when you select a different size sensor, which is incorrect. The only difference the sensor size has is to the field of view. Fix this please and this could be a great app.

Does function at all.
Every time I open the app it crashes the moment I touch my screen. It worked for a few settings then started to crash. Force quit the app yet it continued to crash. I restarted my phone (and to be honest, at that point I was done with this app) and it continued to crash a first tap. This app is less worthless as it cost me three bucks. Don't buy it.

I've used this for years
As a photographer and trainer, I'm often asked about lenses and how they work. Sometimes people get it, with just a few sentences. Sometimes it helps to show them instead. This is what I use to show them. Whenever I show the other trainers, they end up getting this too. I don't use it all the time, but when I do, I'm glad that I have it.

Use this to plan shoots
This app really helped me realize why I was missing focus so much on a Nikkor 135mm f/2, I hadn't realized that unlike the lenses I'm used to, the DoF at 135mm, and about 10 feet is razor thin unless I dial the lens up to f5.6 or f8.

I love this app. I use it for bokeh and macro photography constantly. Saves me from having to doing the math.
Something wrong with the Vertical AoV

However there might be something wrong with the Vertical Angle of View. When I select the FF sensor frame and 50mm focal len, the output vertical angle of view is 27, which I think should be around 45.

Gotta be in your gadgets
It is so easy to manipulate your camera lens. There are dumb people who think this is for editing photos, may the dumbness be with them forever.

iPhone Sensor Sizes?
Great if you have end-end camera. But useless otherwise. Need to add compact camera and Smartphone sensor sizes to offer complete range of education.

LensLab is intuitive and helpful, I'll definitely be keeping it in my iPod! The controls are easy to adjust plus switching between different types of lenses and cameras is a breeze.
If you want to know what is in focus, this is the app
I can't tell you how much time I've spent trying to find the sweet spot on my 100mm macro lens - where the whole flower is in focus, not just the middle or front. This tells you instantly! Wow. I look forward to many happy days together with this app.
OK for cheap lens ???
Nice app but seams to fails to dup what a good lens can do (i.e. a 400mm lens that cat focus at 15' and have a 5" dof at f4)

Great app. Best depth of field calculator I have seen. Very clean layout. Easy to adjust settings. Great visualization of effect on DoF of various focal lengths and apertures. Many settings to adjust to how much information you want to see. Great work Jeff.
