Too fantastic to be free
You can do virtually anything with this. That it's mobile is beyond amazing. I'm glad it's free, but can't figure why it is; It's that good.
I use it every day on an iPad, and it's why I no longer bother with my desktop or laptop. The more you know, the more you'll get out of it. It's got layers, pro tools, effects, filters, press tools, and an astoundingly small footprint.
My biggest fear is that a big competitor will buy and bury it like they've done with so many innovative apps they couldn't beat.
Also, many times Apple has removed features or made programs unusable with its updates, and I would be in some sad trouble without Leonardo, so I have this on a dedicated iPad that I never update.
PS I *think* it’s the best app for photo editing, but I never needed to look at any others after I found it.
Love This App to Death
Go to app for editing
best editor
5/5 for me
GREAT! Alternative to Photoshop!
Should be Included with every iPad!

Older review: I'm giving a new review since Leonardo is now os10 savvy and I recently got a iPad mini 4. I mention the two items together because the mini 4 has replaced much older iPads I had and it has a far better camera than the older iPads... but though the camera is quite good, it's still far from perfect. This is where Leonardo comes in. It is the perfect complimentary app to quickly and drastically improve the iPad's photos. It works so perfectly/easily tweaking the iPad images that it could be considered the defacto photo app for this device. The quick results are so impressive that I am getting far better looking images than phones which include superior cameras. If it only had a batch setting, this would be beyond ideal! ------------- Original write up... 'Near Perfect Image App' Though it lacks a few features which I have to revert to another app to utilize, Leonardo has such a huge assortment of professional image editing options, it has become the final defacto app for completing image edits. Puts Adobe's iPad arsenal to shame.
Don’t
Works again
I’ve been using this for years and it’s the best app for quick mockups of ideas or taking you time for a great final product.
Well done 👍

I STILL LOVE IT !!! 😍
Thank you to the devs for such awesome software. Definite staples on my iPad.
The best app of its type
I prefer easy to use and powerful to trendy. It's up to you.
Turn off stock photos, Not Wanted
Simple and easy
I guess the free version resolution is still crippled beyond usefulness
good program
How do I fix this?
Cat
Very good editor
Things that would make this a perfect score: ability to have more layers (it maxes out somewhere above 20 so who needs 20 separate layers, but I did last week in a massive collage. I tried to work around the layer issue with merge down but it is a quirky merge or I just don’t understand it.
Also, the ability to move part of an image seems basic but I can’t figure out how to float the selection and move part of a layer elsewhere or better yet make a new layer out of the selection. A workaround I have is to duplicate the layer and crop it to the piece that I want.
Very extremely cool app! Thank you! I needed something with the power of GIMP but on an iPad and I’ve used this now for 2+ years and love it.
