About
A soroban (Japanese abacus) app that parents can safely hand to young kids.
There is almost no text on screen — kids learn through animated demos, glowing
beads and cheerful voice encouragement. Mistakes never get a big red X, just a
friendly "try again!".
‧ A real-feel virtual abacus: multi-touch beads with a satisfying wooden click.
‧ Lesson mode: 8 units, 18 lessons — from meeting the abacus and simple add &
subtract, through friends-of-5, friends-of-10, mixed complements and running
sums, to a final challenge-cup unit. Every lesson in three steps — watch,
follow the glowing beads, then try it yourself for three stars.
‧ Sense Island: count at a glance, how-many-more to 5 and 10, which side has
more, and peek-and-rebuild bead memory — number sense before numerals.
‧ Visual drills: read the number, flick the beads. Difficulty follows your
child's lesson progress — it never asks what hasn't been taught yet.
‧ Listening drills at your child's pace: the app calls one term ("five"), waits
until the beads really show 5, then calls the next ("plus three"). Three
paces (slow / medium / fast), with one replay if missed.
‧ Bead skins to collect: wooden, candy, starry night, dino and more — 9 skins,
all unlocked by practicing — never bought with money.
‧ Voice encouragement in both English and Traditional Chinese.
‧ A parent zone behind a parental gate: progress overview, a "5 minutes today"
suggestion, language and pace settings.
Our promise: completely free, no ads, no tracking, no data collection. All
learning content and progress work fully offline. An optional tip jar (buy the
developer a coffee) lives behind the parental gate, is handled by Apple,
is unreachable by children, and unlocks nothing.
