About

Turn an iPhone or iPad into a child's first drum kit: play touch drums, follow rhythm games, and build a kit from household containers. LetDrum is a drum-learning app for kids and beginners. Play with fingers, or tap a practice pad or tabletop with sticks. Short games build steady timing, coordination, and rhythm-reading skills. TOUCH DRUM PADS Real-sampled kick, snare and hi-hat. Hit harder and it sounds bigger; even a full palm slam is fine. Zero setup — open and play. RHYTHM LEVELS Notes fall from the top — hit them on the beat! Every level ends with stars and gentle coaching like "you were rushing just a little," the way a good teacher would say it. PRACTICE-PAD MODE (MICROPHONE) Tap a practice pad or a tabletop with sticks. The app listens in real time and judges every hit's timing, with built-in latency calibration so scoring is fair. • Speed ladder: pass a level, gain +4 BPM — steady first, fast later, the way real drummers practice • Echo game: the app drums a phrase, you drum it back BUILD A DRUM KIT TOGETHER Find a bottle, tin can, and a set of keys. LetDrum learns each container's hit characteristics and checks whether the sounds are easy to tell apart. Turn finding, testing, and playing household objects into a family activity. THEORY GARDEN Rhythm Blocks, Sleepy Monster (stay quiet on the rests!), Animal Beat Park (elephant steps are quarter notes, mouse scurries are sixteenths), Left Hand Right Hand, and a nodding metronome bear — rhythm becomes instinct through play. Wrong answers never punish; kids only ever hear "try again, you've got this!" FOR PARENTS • 176 progressive exercises: 40 core drum rudiments at 3 speeds, plus everyday grooves • Stars, XP, and level progress stored on the device • A parental gate (multiplication challenge) protects the grown-ups' area; all outbound links live behind it • Completely free, zero ads, no data collected, fully offline • Audio is analyzed on-device in real time: never recorded, stored, or uploaded From the same family as LetPiano — piano kids pick up drums for fun, and better rhythm makes their piano steadier too.
