About
What does your dinosaur sound like? What if it ate all the cookies?
LetPod is a little sound studio for children. Record a roar, a silly voice, a joke or a story. Keep your favorite short recordings as sound stickers, then put them into your own audio shows. No script to read, no drawing to finish, no video timing to follow.
A QUESTION A DAY
Every day the home screen asks one small question: What was the funniest thing today? Tap it and answer in your own words. There is no right answer and nothing is scored. Keep a short answer in My Sounds and it is labeled with the question and the date.
A LETTER TO FUTURE ME
Some questions are letters to your grown-up self: the copy kept in My Sounds is sealed in an envelope for one year, with its opening date shown, while the take inside your show stays playable. A grown-up can open it early. A playful wait, not a lock.
MY OWN SOUNDS
Hold to record and release to stop. A star appears on a new recording of up to 10 seconds: tap it, pick a picture, and keep the clip in My Sounds. Keep up to 30 sounds and reuse one in different shows. Your sounds also wait on the home screen, one tap to hear.
BUILD A SHOW
Not sure what to record? Idea cards offer a start. Arrange voice and sound-effect blocks in order, listen to the whole sequence, choose a cover picture and finish your show. Removed a block by mistake? Tap Undo. One child can play every part. Nothing is graded.
COME BACK TO IT
Stop whenever you like: every unfinished show in the sound studio is kept in the Drafts box on the home screen until you delete it. Tap the three-dot button on a finished show, or swipe it, to edit it, make a new version, rename it, or recycle it. A new version keeps the original safe.
LISTEN AGAIN
Finished shows live in the My Shows box, page by page, with room for 100 shows of two minutes each by default. Tap Play in order to hear them one after another. A grown-up can share finished or unfinished shows as audio files and restore recycled shows within seven days.
PRACTICE ONE PHRASE AT A TIME
Behind the parental gate a grown-up adds a model recording and its words, in any language: text, subtitles or lyrics (.srt, .vtt, .lrc), or no words at all, split at the pauses. Play and preview a file before saving it, and swap a wrong one. Each set of lessons is a rainbow candy box. The child hears one phrase or the whole piece, slowly or at full speed, with the words lighting up as it plays, records their own voice and hears the model and themselves take turns. Say it with me runs the round hands-free. Compare marks up to three places where the loudness, length or rise and fall of the voice differs from the model, so the child knows where to listen again. Every recording is kept. No speech recognition, no transcription, no score.
RECORD TOGETHER, TOO
The family recording cards are another way to play: a child teaches an English word, and a grandparent teaches it back in Taiwanese Hokkien.
MADE FOR LITTLE HANDS
Large recording controls, pictures for sounds, and simple blocks keep the focus on listening and creating; the home screen ends in a row of round boxes. Finishing a show of three blocks or more earns a sound gem, a new built-in sound effect; a grown-up can open them all.
FOR GROWN-UPS
Recording, practice lessons and audio production work on the device, without accounts, advertising, speech recognition or cloud processing. We collect no data. Everything is stored only in the app on this device; there is no cloud sync, so deleting the app deletes it. Sharing a show is a grown-up action behind the parental gate; once shared, the file is handled by the destination the grown-up chose. Behind the same gate a grown-up manages the candy boxes, hides or reorders home boxes, turns on noise reduction for recording, and may leave an optional tip for the developer, which unlocks nothing. Every feature is free.
The voice, the funny noises, the story: all theirs.

- Adding a lesson: Save now sits at the top right, so there is no need to scroll to the bottom. Cancel asks first when you have already picked a file or typed words. - Edit Phrases: Save at the top right too. - Subtitles are recognized by what is inside the file, so an .srt saved as a .txt file, or subtitles pasted straight into the words box, keep their timing, and the line numbers and time codes no longer show up as phrases.
