Lets Talk: Language Translator

Let’s Talk is a Danish-developed, AI-based translation and dialogue solution designed to support professional conversations between people who do not speak the same language. The solution has been developed with a strong focus on data security, domain-specific context and the responsible use of artificial intelligence, and is aimed at organisations where accurate communication is critical. Today, many language barriers are addressed through in-person interpreters or general translation tools. This often results in high administrative effort, inconsistent quality, significant costs and, in some cases, the inappropriate use of solutions that do not comply with GDPR requirements. Let’s Talk has been developed as a secure and professional alternative that enables conversations to be conducted efficiently and safely – without compromising responsibility or data protection. How Let’s Talk works: Speech-to-text Both parties speak in their own language. The spoken input is converted into text and displayed directly within the app. User control and editing Before the text is translated, both the professional and the citizen can review and edit the text. This ensures higher quality and reduces the risk of mistranslation. Professional translation and audio playback The approved text is translated into the recipient’s language and can also be read aloud automatically. Let’s Talk includes a built-in professional terminology dictionary that can be tailored to specific domains (e.g. employment services, healthcare, hospitals, social services, manufacturing, etc.). Professional terms are explained through short pop-ups, ensuring the recipient understands the meaning in the correct context. Summary and documentation When the conversation ends, a draft summary and a full transcription can be generated automatically, which the professional can review, edit and download. Let’s Talk is designed to support the journaling of transcriptions and summaries directly into relevant professional systems.
