Love game

Love this game but the ads are frequent and long!

This game is great.

The sounds and haptics feel great, the achievements unlocking new palettes is a wonderful motivator, and the puzzles are perfect for those in-between moments in the day. I also like that it apologizes for when an ad shows up. That was kind. Great game and I like the transition animation :)

Love it!

I just started playing, but I love the color scheme, I love how unique and fun the game is to play, and I love that you made hints free forever! To top that off I like how you can get the full game for just $3, it's much better than those games that force you to buy a subscription! :)

Amazing

I love this game!! There are so many game options. The messages and fonts are so fun. So are the colors. Such a good app, you can tell the creator had fun with it. :)

Best Puzzle Game

Great defintely recommend, just wanted to know if you are planning to make an android app for this app?

Great game….

If it had word definitions that pop up when you solve a line it would be amazing.

Drool-worthy design

Fantastic game — and it just happens to the only mobile game I’ve ever played that I could feel the dev’s personality shine through. Ethan deserves all the stars. The design is so satisfying, the game is challenging (but not frustrating). I wish there were more mobile games like this. I don’t even have constructive feedback — this game is fantastic.

Criminally underrated

It’s a little confusing at first but easy to get ahold of because the tutorial does a great job of explaining how to play the game. You get to play a ton of levels for free, and the game overall is very aesthetically pleasing. Yes the free version has ads, but it’s $2.99 to buy the entire game. Let the man get his well deserved bag. If he releases anymore games I’ll definitely have to play them.

Game is Absolutely Amazing

I have nothing bad to say. The tutorials, game modes, and fast-pace the game has are to love. Everything is explained perfectly and while it could take a bit of time for some to get used to, if you like word games it should be very much to your liking.

-I have a minor suggestion which isn’t a negative, but something interesting. I find myself making words that, while I can infer their meanings, I sometimes don’t know what they mean. I think it’d be nice if once you complete a puzzle and the “Level Completed!” screen with the time and “Next Level” button pop up you could press the words you made and get a brief definition of them. The feature could be expanded upon too; when writing the word then the definition shows. It isn’t necessary by any means, and not having it isn’t something that takes away from the amazing gameplay, but for the purpose of learning new words while playing a game I enjoy, I think it’d be a good quality-of-life feature.

Besides that, the game has immense charm and I love it!

Loved the tutorial

The tutorial is an excellent step by step explanation of how the game works! It includes info on help along the way. I loved "hearing" directly from the developer. I'm looking forward to playing!

Finally something new

Love this game!

Good experience

This game grew a little on me. I didn’t understand the basics of the colors. Now I like playing. Also, the sounds and music are really fun. The UI is fun too.

Great game!

Love this game; it’s a fresh word game that works for all skill levels. The built in dictionary isn’t exactly the official Scrabble dictionary but is pretty comprehensive. The $3 for ad-free is easily worth it.

Requests for the developer:

- More packs please! At the rate I’m going I’ll finish the ones provided in like a week, 😆
- A super hard daily challenge that’s a seven letter word?
- Eight letter puzzles? 🧐

Thanks for making this! I’m enjoying it quite a lot!

Ethical Puzzler

First, this game is just fun. It's an interesting, engaging concept with a large amount of free content.

Moreso, in an era of thousands of crossword-esque games, each one with more ads than the last, this game is a breath of fresh air.

You can FEEL the developer's presence in this game, from the introduction and tutorial to the apologetic note attached to mandatory (but shockingly unintrusive) ads.

Also, again - just a fun game.

Good when it works.

It was great until November when the daily game stopped working. Figured out I could still play if every day I rolled the calendar back to October first, then to November, but I had to do that every single day. Once December started, that trick stopped working, so I haven’t been able to play the daily game at all now. Regular play works fine, it’s just the daily that doesn’t work.

Thank you!

I was googling forever to find a game based on doublets and word ladders!!!! This is better than wordle thank you ethan! Xoxox

Familiar, yet unique

This is beautifully designed. It takes a game that I know, but makes it better and more interesting and difficult. I really appreciate that it works in both portrait and landscape modes.

Thanks for fixing archive 👏🏻

Thank you so much for fixing the archives to show what’s been played 👍🏻
Really loving this game 🙌🏻
👌

Great game until the upgrade UPDATE

Now the daily game doesn’t work

And now it’s fixed! Thank you!

Response from developer

Hi, I’m sorry to hear that. The server I’ve been using to host new daily puzzles has been faulty over the last day or two but has been running intermittently. If you force quit the app and allow a few moments to reconnect it may give you access. I’ve been working on a fix that should be released this weekend to resolve this issue. I apologize for any problems this caused, and thanks for reaching for reaching out! I will update my response to you as soon as the update is live :)

Ladderiffic

Thanks, Ethan, for making the game work in landscape. You’re a pro. I wrote a longer response, but App Store ate it. Just know I appreciate what you do. Meanwhile, can you add support for external keyboard? That’d get 5/5 for me. :) Everyone else: if you like word games, you should give this one a go.

Apple: how about paragraphs? Or a “are you sure you want to cancel your review” when you tap 3 pixels outside the review box? How about a way to review the App Store?
